Park Lawn Carriage House

This beautifully restored and nicely decorated Carriage House fronts on our city's renowned Ritter Park from atop two ca. 1918 garages. It provides 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, perfect kitchen, washer/dryer, gas log fireplace, work area, dining area, high-speed WIFI, 2 televisions (300 channels/HBO), and off-street parking, all in a lovely, safe neighborhood. Our cozy carriage house is blocks from C.H. Hospital, close to Marshall and to downtown's great restaurants and assorted amenities. The space As the only short term rental guest house fronting on the city's central park, our carriage house is unique. Its restoration/renovation was completed to a high standard thanks to the assistance of Michael Gioulis, one of the state's most respected historic preservation consultants and a CCNY architecture school graduate. The Ritter Park Historic District is a very nice and very safe neighborhood, near to downtown's amenities and Marshall's campus. Guests who enjoy the outdoors will appreciate the park's well-kept hiking trails across the street...or simply relaxing and enjoying the birds and other wildlife that abound there and on our very pretty acre. The carriage house has a comfortable front porch, perfect for relaxing with a good book and favorite beverage. It offers a large living room, a very cool kitchen with a passthrough countertop, a separate dining area, a beautiful bedroom, and a well-appointed bath with a very roomy, walk-in shower. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds of Park Lawn during their stay for relaxation. It is fun to curl up in a comfy lawn chair with a book or to toss a blanket on the grass and enjoy a picnic. After all, Park Lawn is the largest property fronting on Huntington's nationally renowned Ritter Park. This manicured acre is a beautifully landscaped slice of West Virginia---it's a perfect small park adjacent to a perfect big one. Other things to note Two adults is the maximum number of guests we will accommodate in the carriage house. There is one double bed only and the L-sofa does not have a sleeper pull out. Thus, two guests sleep together. As this is a National Register listed historic property mounted above original, early garages, the carriage house does not offer access for the handicapped. The carriage house is a no-smoking environment and it has sensitive detectors. There are no exceptions to our no-pets, no-smoking rules.
