Set in the Sierra Foothill's, off of Interstate 80 (20 scenic miles), Foresthill is a beautiful wooded Gold-Rush town with spectacular views, rivers, lakes and the Western States Trail. 4.5 miles north of Foresthill, centrally located to hiking, swimming, rafting and kayaking. Great for a family get-a-way or retreat. Parking is abundant for your cars, boat and trailer. Winter chances for snow play and skiing one hour away on Interstate 80. The space Welcome to the Sequoia House! Enter the main floor from the relaxing covered front porch. Stepping into the living room, walk to your left to a hallway leading to the master suite, which includes a CalKing bedroom set, master bath with shower. From the entry hall, walk right to a half-bath. To your left is a laundry area with an exit to the wrap-around porch or to your right, enter the kitchen and dining room, which connects to the living room. The kitchen has wonderful views of the tree farm outside. The fully equipped kitchen includes a stove top and a separate convection oven/microwave, pots and pans, baking equipment, blender, coffee maker, food processor, toaster, dishwasher. Large windows in the kitchen provide views over the outside porch to the forest beyond. The dining room includes a large table with seating up to 10 and connects to the living room. Large windows bring in light and provide beautiful views to the peaceful outside setting. Two couches and a comfy wingback chair offer plentiful seating. The television has Smart capabilities and can connect to your Netflix or Amazon accounts through our WIFI. From the front entry, a stairway leads to the second floor. The first room on the right has two twin beds with a country theme and beautiful north facing views into the forest. Across the landing, a spacious bedroom with a queen bed, rose hues and peaceful views to the trees outside. Just a few steps down the hall on the right is a roomy bathroom with full bathtub/shower and plentiful towels. A bonus room with 2 twin beds and a fold-out foam bed is at the end of the hall. This house is well-lit, full of beautiful woodwork and windows. You will feel like you are in your own private mountain lodge. There are safety gates available for the stairs if children are involved. You will need to bring your own crib for young ones. We provide a bag of ice, tea, coffee and some baking supplies in the kitchen. A propane BBQ & picnic table are available on the large deck area overlooking the tree farm, along with a full compliment of Adirondack chairs. You will also find a large lawn area framed by iris and other garden beds for your outside enjoyment. In the barn you can find a Corn Hole Game to play on back lawn. Set back and relax at the Sequoia House. Guest access The house, deck, lawn, and surrounding area can be used. The basement is not available for use. Other things to note Please expect to bring all your own food. If you need to shop there is a complete market with deli and 2 restaurants in Foresthill 4.5 miles away.
