Cozy basement, 2.6 miles to ND campus bookstore!
(BEFORE YOU BOOK, please make sure you read carefully the house rules' section.) I've lived in South Bend since 2007 and in this beautiful home since the year after. I live just 2 miles from Notre Dame University, 2 miles to the South Bend airport (to catch a flight or the commuter train to and from Millennium Park downtown Chicago). There are a few bars and restaurants only 7 minutes by car. The space The basement to my house is completely private, the best part being that it has its own separate entrance and a parking spot for one car. I take pride in making sure my guests are comfortable and that they enjoy their stay. I keep an espresso coffee machine for my guests to use as well as a drip coffee maker. The bedroom is super quiet, and the bed is nice and comfy. Guest access Guests have the whole basement to themselves, with their own living room and full bathroom with shower! Other things to note The rented space is just the basement that has no kitchen, but you'll have a microwave to warm up small meals. The driveway is shared with my neighbor. Make sure not to block it. The parking space in the premises fits comfortably small to midsized vehicles. It might be a bit tight for a large SUV or a truck, in which case parking on the street would be a better option (on my house's side of the curb). The basement has low ceiling tiles (I'm 6'3" and have no problems, but bear that in mind if you're taller than me). Also, just a reminder that there's no TV, but there's free fast Wifi for you to connect your devices. One last thing: For several years my house has been considered one the most energy efficient homes in the neighborhood. Please, help me reduce electricity waste by turning lights and fans off when not in use and, especially, when leaving the house. This is much appreciated!
