River Current's Cottage

River Current's Cottage is a hidden gem tucked on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River. This cozy cottage has magnificent views of the river, no matter what time of year you chose to stay the views & cottage will offer you endless relaxation and enjoyment. With wonderful options for dining just minutes away in Port Byron or driving a few more minutes to LeClaire, IA you can truly make this a relaxing getaway. The space The cottage is steps away from a Bike path that runs along The Great River Road. Biking, canoeing or hanging out on the little beach by the cottage are just a few of the activities found at River Current’s Cottage. If you have a boat we can make room for your boat on our dock if river conditions are favorable & our dock is in. We have a canoe that our guests are more than welcome to use & also have several bicycles we are more than happy to share with guests during there stay. Other things to note Our cottage is a 25 minute drive from the Illinois & Iowa Quad Cities where you will find awesome shopping, concerts at either the Adler in Davenport, Iowa or the Tax Slayer in Moline, IL & many amazing restaurants. Historic LeClaire, IA is located just across the river & is a 15 minute drive. North on highway 84 is the small town of Fulton, it offers a few little shops, places to eat not to mention the windmill brought over from Holland. About an hour north of the cottage on highway 84 is the Palisades State Park & has awesome views of the Mississippi River & wonderful hiking trails.
