A queen size bed, a desk, sitting area, & private bathroom. Watch Trains circle the loop on Youtube from the Train Cam. Then physically view that same train as it passes by your bnb room on Main1 or Main2. Included: a BBQ, microwave, coffee maker & mini fridge/freezer. Unfortunately our Airbnb is not suitable for infants or Children under 8yrs. Wildlife and items on the property may be dangerous for them. We get an average of 35 trains day and night so please be aware that your sleep may be interrupted if you are a light sleeper. We have crystal clear well water and are on a septic system. Please be aware our driveway is dirt and gravel. Please drive slow and follow the airbnb signage to your parking space. Due to a medical condition that the host has, we are not able to Host Guests with Service Animals. We are on land covered with oak tree hills. If you are a bird watcher we have quite a few birds stopping in. Red Tail Hawks, vultures, Doves, Crows, and a million hummers in the summer. Guest access You will have your own private patio area. We have provided a BBQ for your use and cooking utensils. We do not provide plates, silverware, etc. If you are planning to cook please only bring paper plates as we do not have a sink to wash dishes. A Table and 4 chairs are located on the patio. There is a gate to get down to the tracks, if you are interested in sitting down there let us know so we can open it for you. You are welcome to explore the property and if you would like to see inside the museum caboose on the property let us know and we can unlock it for you. We also have the original Tehachapi Loop Signal Bridge Light from tunnel 9 and the Cantilever Light, previously located at crossover behind the Tehachapi Depot . Other things to note We are located just south of the Tehachapi Loop. It is approx a 10 minute walk to get the the viewing platform. We live in a rural area and wifi can be unreliable. Keene is at 3,158 ft. We are subject to winter weather conditions. Monday’s are usually track maintenance of way (MOW) days so train traffic may be lighter. We are in a rural fire area and can be affected by Public Safety Power Shutoffs. We will let you know if we get a notice from SCE. If you book with Children or infants you will be asked to cancel.
