The well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds in large, well lit bedrooms, wood burning fireplace, grand piano, and numerous spaces make this home very desirable. Ben Lomond House sits on a quiet, secluded street in central South Salem that is a mix of historic homes including the Governor's Mansion as well as other nice homes built during the last century. Adults tend to comment on the master suite with view of the gardens through the bay window, numerous dining spots, beds and linens, and genuine works of art adorning the walls. Kids are drawn to the lofts in upstairs bedrooms, the tower room, balcony, and toys and games. Half a block away is a nice park adjoining a turn of the century school with playground; four blocks away numerous dining options can be found, including the best coffee house/creperie and a restaurant with 20 beers on tap. Wine country starts just outside city limits and Portland and the Oregon Coast are a one hour drive away. The entire home is yours. I live above the detached garage. There’s a good chance that you won’t even see me, unless you need something, in which case I will come right over or send the housekeeper, if I happen to be out of town. The home is very centrally located in the heart of the city. Off-street parking for two cars, three in a pinch, but we would need to discuss that first (no parking on street). Public transportation is three blocks away.
