Bentley-Wheeler B&B - GUEST HOUSE

PLEASE read through the entire description before you request a reservation. The space PLEASE NOTE: The Bentley-Wheeler Guest House is located right next door to the Bentley-Wheeler B&B. Whether there are two of you, or eight ... you are getting the entire house for your stay. The rate varies based on the number of people. The rate is 200.00 per night for the first two people in one bedroom, and then $35.00 for each guest after the first two in the first bedroom (ie, three guests would be $235.00 per night, four guests $270.00, etc.). If you have two guests each using a separate bedroom, then the additional guest rule applies. You are only charged the base rate for two people if you share one (1) bedroom. The Guest House, built in 1859, the Bentley-Wheeler Guest House was the childhood home of Percy Bentley; well known architect in the La Crosse area. While he didn't study under Frank Lloyd Wright directly, he worked in close proximity to him as a student, thus influencing his work in the Prairie Style. As construction of the larger house began in 1883, Percy and his family lived in, what we now refer to as the Guest House, as they waited for their new home to be finished. After several years of construction, the Bentley family sold the property to J.E. Wheeler (prominent banker and owner of Novelty Woodworks) who completed the project. Wheeler's family also lived in the Guest House as construction was completed. The Guest House is complete with 4 (four) bedrooms (2 queen, 1 king and 1 full), living room with a fireplace, large dining room, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi) and even laundry facilities. The guest house can serve long or short term needs. Whether you have two people in your party, or eight...you have the entire guest house to yourself; we do not add other groups to the guest house beyond the original booking.
