Long-Term Stay Compliance & Fees: For the safety and compliance of all long-term guests (28 nights or more), please note these mandatory requirements: Cleaning: A professional cleaning service is mandatory every 30 days. The cost of this cleaning is $90 and will be invoiced after your first month. Screening & Agreement: Long term guests (28+ days) are required to complete a simple, secure verification process that includes: A signed rental agreement. ID verification. A refundable security hold of $500 (this is a pending transaction, not an upfront charge). Guest Portal: To make this process easy, we use a secure, web-based platform. This platform also serves as your guest portal with all unit instructions, check-in guides, and our favorite local recommendations. We are committed to making your extended stay seamless and secure. Please message us with any questions—Happy to help! Guest access The apartment is exclusively yours during your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home. Guests will have access to the entire apartment as well as a designated underground parking spot for 1 vehicle (no trucks, midsize SUV is fine) at no charge. Access to an outdoor spot for a larger vehicle may be available on a first come first serve basis for $15/night. You can also call the Wauwatosa Police department to request free overnight street parking. Please read the check-in instructions carefully to ensure seamless entry access to the apartment. Other things to note OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: ★ SANITIZATION ★ Heath, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out. ★ NO PETS ALLOWED ★ We love those little (and not so little) furry bundles of joy. Sadly, our home is not suitable to accommodate them. Thank you for understanding that in the state of Wisconsin, Emotional Support Animals are considered pets and we are unable to accommodate them. ★ NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON PROPERTY★ Please refrain from smoking inside the Apartment Building, outside the apartment building, or in the garage. Smoking/vaping/drug use of any kind is strictly prohibited. Any smoking evidence will result in a fee for odor removal and furniture cleaning. ★ NO PARTIES/EVENTS ★ We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits. ★ SMART TV ★ You can also choose to log-in with your own internet-based entertainment services, like Netflix and Hulu! We do not offer TV channels other than what is on the Roku channel. Washer and dryer is available, located in the shared basement. ★ ABOUT THE BUILDING ★ This is an older apartment building. Although the unit has been renovated and nicely updated, the walls are on the thin side. We provide ear plugs and a white noise machine to help with this, but also ask our guests to be conscientious of noise as well, especially after quiet hours. Some of the pipes in the building are old. Water may not run clear when first turned on, but will run clear within seconds. There is a water filter in the fridge. This building features radiant heat, which can result in some light ticking or knocking sounds when the heat is operating. We provide a white noise machine for those who might be sensitive to these sounds. The air-conditioning is a wall unit installed beneath the picture window in the living room. We welcome all guests regardless of sex, race, age, disability, color, creed, national origin, religion, or genetic information. Please understand however that we also enforce our house rules for everyone's safety and security regardless of sex, race, age, disability, color, creed, national origin, religion, or genetic information. For stays over 28 nights, we require a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a $1,000 security hold. This isn’t a traditional security deposit - it’s simply a pending authorization. As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $50, with an additional $2 per day after the first 10 days for stays longer than 30 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
