We are the ideal base camp for visiting Phoenicia, Woodstock, Margaretville, Roxbury, and more… 🐾 Furry Friends Welcome! We love hosting four-legged travelers and provide a wonderful outdoor space for them to explore. To help us keep this mountain sanctuary pristine, a nominal pet fee applies, and we kindly ask that owners tidy up after them both indoors and out. A Note on Location and Convenience Our house is the ultimate basecamp for active explorers! Because we are centrally located right on Route 28, you can skip the winding backroads and get anywhere you want in minutes (and no navigating treacherous, unplowed mountain roads in winter!). If you are looking for a completely remote, deep-woods hidden cabin, we might not be your perfect match. But if your vacation plans involve maximum convenience, you absolutely cannot beat this location. Because of this prime convenience, some ambient road noise can be heard from the front of the property, but the bedrooms, deck, and backyard face away from the road to focus entirely on the serene quiet of the creek. Seasonal rentals are welcome—reach out to inquire about extended mountain stays! Traveling with a larger group? This house is situated right next door to our sister property, the Birch Creek Retreat. Booked together, they offer the perfect setup for families and friends who want to vacation alongside each other while enjoying their own private spaces! Guest access You will have full, exclusive access to the entire house, the expansive back deck, and the backyard. Best of all, you have direct, private access to the beautiful Birch Creek running right behind the house—feel free to take a refreshing dip, lounge by the water, or enjoy the creekside fire pit! Other things to note Extra Guest Policy Our base rate includes up to 4 guests. To accommodate larger groups using the elevated loft space, there is an additional fee of $25 per night for each guest beyond 4. Please ensure your guest count is accurate when booking so we can prepare the home perfectly for your stay. Our property is fully licensed and compliant with all local regulations.
