Casa Bencomo is a luxury modernist design 3-story townhouse situation in the most privileged area of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on a quiet street just 50 m from Parque García Sanabria. Indoor and outdoor living spaces invite you to discover more about Tenerife through its art, design, and natural elements. The house showcases designer furniture by Achille, and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Arne Jacobsen, Pastoe and Mornernica as well as 1960s and 1970s vintage pieces. The space This 1930s modernist design townhouse was fully renovated in 2018 maintaining the original design features of the house. The high-end, understated luxury of the home can be appreciated in every detail: from the Dornbracht taps to the original Tezzarro stone staircase with teak banister. Original artwork, designer furniture, and vintage pieces give this home originality and elegance that is hard to find elsewhere. GROUND FLOOR - Entrance - Enter through the front door into the sun-filled entrance where the original Terrazzo stone staircase curves up all three-stories of the house to the rooftop solarium. White-walls and grey concrete and stone flooring set the tone of the simple, understated luxury of the home that allows the designer and vintage furniture and artwork to take center stage. Original Cactus Coat Rack by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello for Gufram (c. 1972) and commissioned artwork by local artist Oscar Latuag. - Living & dining room - The living and dining room with french doors out to the garden has been designed with socialising in mind. Modular Sancal sofa and vintage glass coffee table with Smart TV, and art and design magazines plus original La Pera print by Enzo Mari in the living room. The dining area has a large oval-shaped dining table with Pastoe chairs and floor standing Luminator lamp designed by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. - Kitchen - The custom-designed kitchen has a marble worktop and integrated premium induction hob, Miele dishwasher, SMEG oven, and designer and artisan collection of kitchenware. Frech doors lead from the kitchen to the garden. - Garden - Dine alfresco in the back garden with patio and tropical garden with giant banana leaves. Soak up the Tenerife sun in the butterfly chairs by Airborne then cool off under the outdoor shower fountain. - Office - Dedicated office space with desk, vintage chair and lamp, a library collection of novels, art, and design books, children's books, and family board games. FIRST FLOOR Up the original teak curved bannister and Terrazzo stone staircase to the first floor with 3 bedrooms, a dressing room and a bathroom. - Master bedroom - King-sized bed (180 x 210 cm) with 100% latex mattress, cotton linen, and original artwork by Isabel Muñoz. There is access to a private balcony overlooking the garden. - Dressing room - Large dressing room with wardrobes to store your clothes. Vintage Chinoiserie chair and original vintage Pastoe vanity shelves. - Double bedroom - Double bedroom with a king-size bed (160 x 200 cm), latex mattress, vintage accessories, and access to the front balcony. - Twin bedroom - Two single beds, bedside lamps, and access to the front balcony. - Bathroom - Serene bathroom with large walk-in shower, Dornbracht TARA taps, sink, and toilet. SECOND FLOOR - Master bathroom - The grand master bathroom on the top floor of the house has a marble-topped bathtub, freestanding marble-topped double sink, toilet, and ample space, and additional wardrobes. - Rooftop solarium - Sun-filled rooftop solarium with deep concrete bathtub with hot and cold taps, deckchairs and native cacti and aloe vera plants. Guest access The whole house, garden, and two balconies will be completely private to you during your stay. ONLINE CHECK-IN BEFORE ARRIVAL In accordance with the current Vacation Rental Decree (Spanish law), we kindly request all guests to submit their ID prior to arrival. TOWELS, LINEN AND PROFESSIONAL CLEANING The house is always professionally cleaned between guests and maintained to a high standard. We provide all bed linen and 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 1 pair of slippers per guest and 1 hand towel per bathroom. To request a change of towels and bed linen during your stay of 7 days or more, please send us a message. MID-STAY CLEANING Mid-stay cleaning is available at €20 an hour (minimum 3 hours). FAMILIES We warmly welcome families travelling with infants and offer a baby pack on request to help you travel lightly and comfortably. Our baby pack includes a travel cot with a bottom sheet and a highchair, available for €30 per reservation. Please let us know if you require this, and we'll be happy to assist you. PARKING On-street parking is available in the area for free. PETS We welcome small pets upon request only. There is an additional pet fee of €59 per pet, per stay.
