My home is on a quiet street in Ellsworth, 18 miles from Acadia National Park and 4 miles from Branch Lake, the warmest water in the area for swimming! The Island Explorer, a free shuttle bus, takes you to Acadia and other towns on Mt. Desert Island free of charge from designated areas close to my home. The sunny basement apartment is a large nicely furnished living room, large bedroom with king size bed, bathroom with shower, full size windows with blinds, breakfast nook with large sink, refrigerator, table and chairs, coffee maker, electric tea kettle and microwave. There is no stove. A pathway from the driveway to a private entrance with double french doors. The area is quiet, but not secluded. Ellsworth center is a 10 minute walk, where you will find several nice restaurants and shops. Self check-in. I will always be available by cell phone, and you can call or text me. I will send you instructions for check-in and contact details within a week of your arrival. Check-in is at 4:00 PM but you can arrive at your convenience after that time. A quiet, residential area, walking distance to down town Ellsworth. My home is on a quiet street, and across the street from a lake. Options for car rental, taxi, shuttle busses to Acadia, biking, walking. *Shuttle busses have been dramatically reduced since Covid-19. *If you need to rent a car, do it sooner than later as there is a shortage of rental cars in most states. There is no way to cook meals.
