This quiet room has a private entrance and patio, separated from the main house by two doors and a laundry room. It has a comfortable queen bed, armoire, full private bathroom, fridge, microwave & toaster, and Wifi. This quiet room, nestled in the foothills of Carpinteria is just minutes away from downtown Carp and only 15 minutes from Santa Barbara. It is an easy bike ride to the beach, and is just down the road from the newly renovated Franklin Trail (a scenic hiking trail). It has a designated off street parking spot, private entrance and bathroom, and the side patio is filled with plants to offer you private outdoor space as well. At night, the sound of crickets and frogs from the nearby creek is just about all you will hear and the sky is full of stars as we are away from the lights of downtown. Just a note!! We are located in the hills, amongst the creatures and critters that live in the foothills here. We do our best to keep the bugs at bay, but don't believe in poison, so the occasional spider or ants might be around. Please let us know if there are critters, and we will come and remove them asap. We understand not everyone wants to co-exist with insects!! guests have access to their private room and patio. I will be here for you as needed, but there is tons of quiet and privacy. This neighborhood has mountain and ocean views, it is close to both Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, the beach, and great restaurants and shopping, but it feels secluded. From this location, it is probably easiest to drive, but there is a great bicycle rental in Carpinteria, Rincon Cycles ( www. rinconcycles.com) There are buses to Santa Barbara about a 15 minute walk away, you can also drive or bike into town and take the train into SB for the day. There is a black cat named Hamlet who is a presence on the property and may demand a chin scratch, and there is also an ancient dog named Gracie who will most likely be sleeping somewhere and you won't hear or see her, but she is a sweetie if you do.
