The area is quiet, the sounds of nature abundant, and the gurgling creek soothing (which when flowing at its usual pace can be heard when inside either dwelling), and visits from deer, bugling elk, wild turkeys, and the occasional owl or bear are daily reminders of one’s connection with nature. The placement of the carport between the two parts of the duplex, as well as the layout and position of each home in relation to the other, was designed to maximize the exposure of each to nature and to maintain privacy between the dwellings. What’s nearby: This home is located a one-mile walk or drive from the Pacific Ocean, where you can surf, fish, kiteboard, and comb the wild beach for rocks and seashells. Restaurants and grocery stores are also only one mile west in the heart of Gold Beach.
