This spacious and bright 2-story 2-bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a charming 200 year old house. From your private roof terrace enjoy stunning views over the sea, the beach and the castle. Have an aperitivo while watching the sunset. From here it’s just a 2 min walk to Pizzo’s lively main square with a good choice of restaurants, bars and grocery shops, and 10 min walk to the local beach. Small cars can park free on premises. Pizzo is the ideal base to explore Calabria! The space This large 2 story apartment spreads over two levels with a floor space of app. 125 sqm (1,345 sq ft). It consists of 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms (1 en suite with shower, toilet and bidet, 1 small with shower and toilet, and 1 guest toilet), a living and dining area (6 seats), and a well equipped kitchen. A stairways leads upstairs to the second floor. The open gallery offers a sofa bed, TV and work desk, and the access to the private roof terrace with stunning 360 degree views. Beside the roof terrace this apartment has 4 balconies. Each bedroom has a balcony. The bed in the master bedroom is a queens size double bed. There is an additional small single day bed in the same room. In the second bedroom is a single bed that unfolds into a queen size double bed. The sofa bed on the attic unfolds into a queen size bed. The apartment is ideal for a family of 3-5 persons. From the street level the entrance is up around 15-20 steps on a stairway. There is a second entrance from the courtyard. If your car is small enough you can park in the courtyard. If it’s too big it is better to find public parking space. The apartment (completely restored 2013-2016) has double glazing windows, central heating, air condition, dishwasher, washing machine, large SMEG fridge, oven/microwave, WIFI and free parking in courtyard on request for small cars. Guest access The entire apartment with its private roof terrace is just for you during your stay. A parking space for a small car can be provided upon request in the courtyard. There is a second entrance to the apartment from the courtyard. The courtyard is passageway for a neighboring apartment as well as for our private garage. Other things to note IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE: There are renovation works in progress around Pizzo. There might be an impact from construction sites during work hours during your stay : e.g. the fassade of the church in via delle Grazie and the Proloco roof in front. The city tax of Pizzo Calabro (tassa di soggiorno) is €2.00 per person per night and applies all year round (as of March 2019) for a maximum of 14 nights for all guest above age 16. We are also required to provide all guest names together with data from your ID/passports to the Questura within 24 h of your check-in. There is no car or scooter rental in Pizzo. You can rent a car in Lamezia at the airport or central train station, or rent a car or scooter in Tropea. Please rent a SMALL car (smallest category). If you need a pick-up service we can help to book a taxi for you from/to airport or train station. The days around August 15th are the peak of the high season and there will be an increase of visitors to Pizzo with some impact on daily life: traffic jams, chaotic parking, slower service and lower quality of food in restaurants, problems with garbage collection, loud late night entertainment but also some interesting cultural events, ‘sagras’, concerts, processions and local festivities in the diverse squares and alleys.
