"Swiss Miss" cabin boasts incredible 40 mile views. It is located in Historic Little Switzerland, NC, less than 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Built in 1961, it blends original mid-century architecture and furniture pieces with modern elements. At an elevation of 3,300 feet, the air is fresh and clear. The mountain silence must be experienced. Relax in the comfy cabin, absorb the peace and beauty of nature, and explore the area attractions, many within 30 minutes. Swiss Miss awaits Swiss Miss is very private and can't be seen from the road. Having two separate levels allows two families or a family with teens to easily have time together and time apart. The upstairs has a full kitchen. The downstairs kitchenette has a full refrigerator, toaster, microwave, and a sink. This allows the preparation of snacks, breakfast items and beverages without having to go upstairs. A small pop-up tent is available for youngsters who would like to "camp" away from the adults. The tent may be set up in the screen porch which provides indoor safety and yet an "outdoor" experience. The back yard is bordered with galvanized Garden Wire. This provides a basic level of separation in the yard space from deer and other critters. The fence is NOT a safety fence. Children and Pets should always be supervised. Wildlife such as bears and deer are common occurrences The price per night is for four people. Total house occupancy is eight people. For each additional guest there is a one time fee of$25. per night. The bottom two bedrooms are locked unless the number of guests are booked. Dogs under 40 pounds are welcome, with a limit of two. Fee for the first dog is $60, two dogs is $80. Please leave the pet fee in the Green Folder on the Kitchen table when you leave. Swiss Miss is located on Laurel Lane, which is bounded on the south side by NC 226A and on the north side by the Blue Ridge Parkway. Laurel Lane is an excellent walking path. In fact, you can walk to the Iconic Big Lynn Lodge and eat at the restaurant and enjoy the stunning views. (Mile Post 334 off the Blue Ridge Parkway) Emerald Village, is a group of 12 historic REAL mines and has been featured on National Geographic TV, the Travel Channel. Geneva Hall, for over 80 years people have flocked every Saturday evening from July through August to enjoy square dancing, cake walk, and fellowship. Dog Friendly: Crabtree Falls, Trailhead is at Mile Post 339.5, at the Crabtree Falls Campground. 2.5 miles – gentle in parts, then medium to strenuous. LOVELY waterfalls. On the property are Motorcycle Rentals as well as Thrifty Adventures (kayaking, tubing…). It also is an Inn and has a Lounge, Tavern, and the Village Shop which is known as the area’s best beer and wine shop. The views are stunning as well! Linville Caverns, Geological Wonderland is a constant 52 degree year round.
