At Riverwood Suites it isn’t just a room, it’s an experience. The rustic exterior may surprise you but when you walk into your suite you are instantly captivated by the chic upcycled decor. The modern amenities make you feel right at home. You enjoy wine on the veranda or enjoy a cup of coffee in the back garden. (Keurig coffee maker, coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar are also provided) Everything you need is provided: toiletries, linens, kitchenware, even a full size refrigerator with ice maker. What is it like to stay at the Riverwood Suites? At Riverwood Suites it isn’t just a room, it’s an experience. Picture it: You drive up to the Historic Baltimore House located in downtown Apalach. At first you think, “Is this the right place?” The rustic exterior may take you by surprise. But as you walk through the iron gate you realize that this is definitely the right place. You go up the stairs and enter your suite. The cool air is a relief from the Florida heat. A cold drink would be great right about now and then you notice the full size refrigerator and a freezer with ice that is all ready for you. It’s been a long trip and the California King bed is calling your name. The rustic chic décor makes you feel right at home, a home you only wish was yours. Before you hit the hay, you grab a glass from the kitchenette and pop open a bottle of red wine. You relax on the veranda and sip your drink while looking out over downtown. You sleep better than you’ve ever slept before and wonder where we got these sheets. The morning comes and you enjoy a freshly brewed cup of joe from the Keurig coffee maker. You relax in the back garden while you wait for your haircut at the on-site Aveda salon. Later you stroll down to the unique shops, restaurants, and nightlife just block or two away. And when your trip has come to its end and you’re packing your bags you think to yourself, “Wow, this was the best vacation I’ve ever had.” Guests have access to our private second story veranda which overlooks downtown Apalachicola and the Apalachicola River. The veranda is equipped with plenty of seating for you to sit back and enjoy the view. You also have access to our backyard garden. We have bistro tables and chairs for your use. You can get comfy in a rocking chair and listen to the sounds of the waterfall in our goldfish pond. During the day we will typically be on site to help you with anything that you may need. After hours we are only a phone call away. We are located downtown, within walking distance to the area's finest restaurants, unique shopping, and nightlife. You can walk everywhere! Or if you prefer, there is a bike rental shop right across the street. We are located in a renovated historic building so unfortunately there is not elevator access to the second floor. Our suites are each equipped with a kitchenette. This includes a full size refrigerator with ice maker, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, dishes and glasses, silverware, bar sink, and bottle opener. We do not have stoves, ovens or hot plates in the suites. We do not allow smoking of any kind on premises. We also do not allow pets. Thank you for keeping our suites allergy friendly.
