Cozy Apt in Centerville's historic Uptown District
Cozy Apt in Centerville's historic Uptown District
Description
Our cozy place is ideal for the romantic wanderer or for the working businessperson. It sits in the center of Centerville's Uptown District amid restaurants, bars and boutiques. You'll have easy access to Dayton, the Air Force base and its terrific museum. There's even a guide to my favorite Wright Brother’s spot inside. The Entertainment District begins at your doorstep so this probably isn't your place if you must be in bed before 10 pm. There may be live music outside on Saturdays/holidays The space The building itself is very old but the apartment is full of all the modern touches that we can't get along without these days. The ceilings are 9' high so you don't feel closed in. The living room is equipped with a 4K enabled TV connected to an Apple TV. Siri can control the lights, music and can offer insightful advice when asked. A small table doubles as a workspace and the internet speed is ~ 150 kbps. The kitchen has an oven, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and a Keurig Coffee maker. There's central heat in the winter and window air conditioning in the summer. A laundromat is located about a mile off site. The owner and manager live off site but can be contacted easily and quickly. The queen size bed is so comfortable that a guest bought one for himself! While the kitchen is well stocked you'll be tempted to sample the eats at The City Barbecue, Graeter's Ice Cream, Agave & Rye, Manna Uptown, Felicity plus more. There are also a couple of Pubs within easy walking distance. Guest access Guests will have the entire (700+ sq. ft) apartment to themselves. Other things to note With the recent opening of Agave and Rye in July, parking can become tight around dinner time. The public parking lot has ~50 slots and is immediately behind the Airbnb. My Airbnb doesn't have any reserved parking spaces.
