Luxury Coastal Retreat with HotTub and Dining Dome

Warm and cosy, this is the ideal place to get away from it all yet you are only minutes away from Polperro. You can eat delicious food in one of Polperro's many restaurants and pubs, you have a beach and miles of the South West Coat path just a few minutes walk away or you can swim in the natural pool nearby- all without having to use your car to get there. At night you can lie back, recharge and restore in the wood fired hot tub and hear owls in the trees around you as you star gaze. By day the air is filled by bird song and you can enjoy the view of the valley and watch the cows in the field next door! Relax in the stunning furnished geodesic dining and relaxing dome which offers 360 degree views so you can be 'outside' whatever the weather. There is a tiny 'Hobbit' woodburner to keep you warm and cosy. Cook up a storm in the outdoor kitchen next to the dome, with an Ooni woodfired pizza oven. ( £20 for pizza oven hire includes fuel, dough and tomato sauce, bring your own toppings 24 hours notice) charcoal barbeque and covered preparation area. The shepherds hut is set in a large private enclosed garden with a wooded glade and pond, offering plenty of space to unwind and relax in perfect solitude. Ideal for both summer and winter stays the hut has an electric wood burner style stove and heated towel rail inside and a fire pit outside. There is an ensuite shower room with walk in shower, proper flushing toilet and heated electric towel rail. Park in your dedicated parking space, then walk up some steps, open the gate and you will find your own private slice of Cornish countryside waiting for you. Inside there is a hand made solid wood kitchen with belfast sink, induction hob, mini oven, fridge, kettle and toaster. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a romantic supper at the tiny fold down dining table. (folding chairs are stored under the bed) There is a sumptuous double bed with storage underneath and dressing gowns to borrow. There is a wall mounted 25 inch Smart TV (only internet tv- iplayer, itv hub, netflix etc) There is also a very realistic electric 'wood burning' stove which can quickly heat the hut. We supply lovely French linen bedding and luxury towels and robes. Outside on the paved patio you will find a large corner sofa and dining table with a fire pit and barbeque for alfresco lunches and dinner under the stars. Just beyond the hut a few steps lead up to a shady wooded glade with a stream at the bottom and a pond. As you have so much space to yourself, you could easily spend all your time around the hut and dome, or you can enjoy all of Polperro has to offer just a short downhill walk away. (Please note that the walk back is steep in places so is not suitable for anyone with mobility or walking difficulties.) Other beaches are just a 5 minute drive (or 40 minute walk) away. We are a 15 minute walk from a bus stop so it is possible to use public transport to get here. Logs to heat the tub once per day are included in the price- if you want to use it twice per day logs are charged at £10 per bag. The hot tub takes 1.5 hours ( summer) or 2.5 hours (winter) to heat up and the heat in the tub lasts for up to 12 hours depending on the outside temperature. Guest access The entire fully enclosed approx 150 foot garden with outdoor kitchen, geodesic dome and hot tub is for your own private use. There is also a wooded glade with wildlife pond at the bottom of the garden. Other things to note The hut is accessed by 19 steps. The dining table and chairs need to be folded out to use. Electric is limited so don't use any other appliances or wash up whilst showering. The hot tub cannot be used on the morning of departure. Storage in the hut is minimal so pack light. Don't forget your swimming costume! The walk to the village is downhill. It takes longer coming back as the lane is steep in places. It is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Pizza oven hire is £20 includes dough, tomato sauce, fuel and a lesson. Bring your own toppings. Logs to heat the hot tub once per day are supplied. They are left in your log store for you. If you wish to heat the hot tub more than once per day logs are charged at £10 for 10 logs. Contact us and we will bring the logs up for you. The field next to the hut has a herd of cows for half of most days in the summer. We are in a rural position so expect animal and bird sounds. Cats live next door but they are timid and wont disturb you.
