Catch a shooting star and the Southern Cross wonderfully clear away from city light pollution. 🛌 Flexible Multi-Bed Layout Our generous two-room layout is exceptionally spacious for 1 to 3 guests and accommodates up to 5 guests. It is perfectly configured for medical travellers, families, or support teams who require independent sleeping arrangements under one roof. Sleeping Configuration (Sleeps 5): Main Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed (styled with a memory foam topper, extra seasonal blankets, and a pillow menu to ensure a deeply restful sleep). Main Bedroom (Infants): Portacot or Quality wool-top toddler mattress available upon request (an additional linen fee may apply). 🚿 The Modern, Private En-suite Bathroom: Located directly off the main bedroom, featuring a corner shower cubicle, toilet, hair dryer and straighteners, and a generous supply of freshly laundered towels. 🛋️ Living Lounge: 1 King-Single Bed (permanent fixture). Living Lounge (Extra Beds): 1 separate Single Bed (set up for bookings of 4 adults) and 1 Double Sofa Bed (set up for bookings of 5 adults; otherwise available on request with an additional fee). 🍳 Equipped Studio Kitchenette: Perfect for preparing light meals or heating up nourishing food during your stay, the space includes: - A high-efficiency plug-in single induction cooktop (heats faster than a standard element) - Under-counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and all essential cookware. - Available on Request: A 3-litre air fryer and tabletop oven can be gladly provided prior to your arrival if required. You will awaken to the morning chorus of local birdlife and can hand-feed our friendly resident pet animals. Bird watch for these species that are resident or fly in seasonally: tuis, bellbirds, rosella parrots, native wood pigeons (Kererū), magpies, paradise ducks, hawks, owls, and our pet hens. 🏡 Layout, Facilities & Mobility Access Note To help you plan your arrival perfectly: - The Parking: We provide free, private off-street parking on a dedicated gravel driveway. - The Walkway Path: Just a short walk around the side of the cottage to the entrance. The flat path leading to the door is formed of loose garden gravel and paving stones, and then onto flat concrete. - The Entrance: There are zero internal stairs once inside. There is a standard minor weather lip at the front door threshold. Navigating this outdoor pathway requires no more mobility than walking across a standard hospital or supermarket footpath and car park. Utilities & Entertainment: - Internet: Free, Starlink satellite internet - perfect for remote work, streaming, and staying connected. - Entertainment: A 32 inch TV with Freeview channels, Chromecast, a DVD player with a movie library, a book exchange, board games, and puzzles, for a cosy night in. ✨ Complimentary Host-Managed Laundry Service To maximise our farm's solar efficiency there is no physical washing machine or dryer located inside the independent chalet. Instead, we are delighted to provide a premium, complimentary host-managed laundry service for all extended stays to keep you fully taken care of: - Stays of 5+ Nights : 1 generous load per week, washed and dried by your hosts. - Stays of 7+ Nights: 2 generous loads per week, washed and dried by your hosts. - Need an Express Wash? For short-term stays or extra loads, we can gladly run an express wash and dry service for you at $12 per small load. - Alternatively there is also a fantastic 24/7 Liquid Laundromat a 10 minute drive away. Insulation & Comfort: Fully double-glazed and equipped with a premium Heat Pump with an active Air Purifying System and Air Conditioning, guaranteeing deeply restful warmth or cooling comfort. An iron and ironing board are included. Children’s outdoor play equipment, a highchair, and a baby bath are available.
