If the light flashes red, the code didn't register; wait 5 seconds for the lock to reset and try again. Once the green light flashes, rotate the deadbolt beneath the keypad away from the door frame and pull the door open. When you leave, press the Schlage button, rotate the deadbolt toward the door frame to engage it, and make sure it's locked before you go - the lock won't engage on its own. If you have trouble with the keypad after multiple attempts, the lock will pause for 30 seconds to reset before you can try again. You'll find the access code in your check-in materials - the lock uses a combination dial, and the code aligns with a specific mark on the lock rather than the center position, so pay close attention to the alignment. Keys for the locked common area and locked dumpster are hanging from a lanyard in your entryway, available whenever you need them.
