Lauderdale or Miami we STRONGLY recommend you take the Brightline train to the West Palm Beach station and then take a shuttle/Uber to the car rental agency. The train is super comfortable, clean, ultra modern, and fun, and best of all you won't have to deal with rush hour traffic. You can take your luggage with you on the train or check it at the station. The trip from Miami to WPB is a little over an hour and by car it's at least 2 hours in non-rush hour traffic.
