Great view of islands and Fort Popham from all rooms. Lots of lawn area, great tide changes, sand bar, birding, and mud flats. Two kayaks are available( must request before use). A paradise for exploring. Clamming, fishing, and birding are also popular. A beach pass for all Maine State Parks comes with the rental. Also available, high speed wireless internet and cable TV. The property is 3.5 miles from Popham Beach, 14 miles to Bath, Maine, and 29 miles to Freeport Outlets. Guest access All of the yard space is access friendly all the way to the water. There is an elevated rock outcropping in the lower east part of the yard that is a great spot for bird watching or just relaxing or viewing the scenic view of the Sugarloaf islands straight out along with Popham village to the southwest. Entire outdoor property is accessible. Other things to note Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday only. The upstairs is one room deep with spectacular water views from each. There is a bedroom on the first floor. Wilbur Preserve is at the end of the road. It is a great elevated level spot to observe the area from. A birders paradise with osprey, eagles, great blue herons, glossy ibis, terns, snowy egrets, whimbrels and more. Seals also hang out in the area.
