The Fairfax Arms is the epitome of the traditional country inn: a bar filled with character and atmosphere and a warm and friendly welcome to our excellent quality accommodation. Our rural location means that you really get the feeling of getting away from it all, yet we are only 30 minutes from the historic city of York and right on the edge of the North York Moors. Often described as a ‘hidden gem’, it’s easy to understand why our guests keep on returning. The space Our Family Rooms We have two family cottages available, both of which are perfect for families or for groups of adults. These rooms are located on the ground floor, in the courtyard behind the main building of the pub. Each cottage consists of two bedrooms and one bathroom. The first bedroom has twin beds (or a king on request) with a small seating area and the second bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. Both of the bedrooms have colour televisions. It is also possible to book the cottage for just two people (only the first bedroom will be accessible) for those who wish to have a ground floor room or simply wish for a more spacious king or twin room.
