NE Seattle Artist Treehouse Suite!

Friendly, joyful, light: large space, part artist studio. You are on ground floor of a split-level home, w/ hosts on second level. Enter front stairs up&down or thru garage (we share this access.) Quiet & restful, surrounded by trees, brook, yet close to bus & good eats, easy to get anywhere. Private area: queen bed room, large sitting room w/ HD TV. Open kitchenette with conduction cooktop, microwave, small fridge etc. . . W/D, jacuzzi bathtub. NO smoking or smokers! The space Please note: Smokers need not apply! :-D 1. Your guest suite is spacious (580 sq. ft.) and beautiful and includes private sleeping room with queen-size bed; full bath with jacuzzi bathtub and shower; extra sink and laundry; light eating space, kitchenette (as above), just microwave, mini fridge, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker); and large private sitting room with Franklin fireplace, HDTV --all secluded in the trees overlooking Little Brook. A small garden is available for visiting and contemplation. And yes, good wifi connection. Although our home has a secluded cul-de-sac feel to it, we are one minute from bus stop; 15 minutes to University of Washington or downtown Seattle, a 25-minute drive to Puget Sound ferries. Shopping, restaurants (and Starbucks!) are all close by. You'll have off-street (cul-de-sac) parking right in front, and so many great sites and adventures, all easy drives from our north end location. 3. House rules include NO smoking or smokers and (regretfully!) no pets, and we try to avoid obvious fragrances and allergens --including fresh flowers. 4. In addition to the queen bed we have a couple of comfortable cots, so we can accept a quiet child or two with supervision. The sofa is also comfy for sleep. We charge $15 per person per day for any guests beyond two (four max.) Our minimum stay is 2 nights, maximum one week unless we negotiate a longer stay. We can be unobtrusive but engaging and gracious hosts, and we are looking forward to helping you make your Seattle stay wonderful and productive! Guest access The suite is on the ground floor of a split-level house, with hosts living upstairs, so you have your own one-step entry through the clean garage --or you may go upstairs-&-down again from the locked front door. (You will have your choice of front door key or garage opener to take with you when you're out.) The garage entry seems to be the favorite--more private and direct, just one step! The hosts access our cars in the garage (respectfully) through the end of the large studio room. We may also on occasion need to use the laundry or get supplies from the studio (only water media are used; no fumes.) For this reason we prefer guests who plan to be mostly out and about in the daytime. You will always have complete privacy evening through morning, and we never intrude on your private sleep and sitting areas. As to Guest Interaction (below), we plan to be as helpful as needed and then stay out of your way. :-) During your stay For the most part we are available to offer help throughout your stay. Interaction depends on the wishes and availability of both host and guest. Some communication is necessary, however, and we know only English and a little Spanish and French, so at least one guest will need to know some English.
