Kiki is a relaxing and private desert playground set on 5 acres. Take a break from all of the noise, unwind from the city hustle under painted skies and a blanket of stars at our tranquil getaway. The views from our home are vast and naturally colorful, full of Joshua Trees, mountain skylines, and rock formations. Spending time in our home, visiting the local sites and enjoying the quiet sounds of the high desert will melt your stress away. The space Perfectly suited for all-season trips. This very clean, rustic style house is a cozy little getaway with two bedrooms. There is wildlife everywhere. This place is ideal for couples or friends looking for a semi-secluded desert location, adventurers or solo travelers seeking a relaxing getaway. In town for a show at Pappy & Harriets, a sound bath at the Integratron or one of the many festivals in the hi-desert? Facilitated with a Roku where you can log into your accounts and choose from the wide variety of applications and what they have to offer (NETFLIX, HULU, Amazon Prime). We also have a DVD player and over 75 films to choose from. You will be supplied with: - Fresh bed Linen - Towels - Toiletries - Free Wifi Interaction with guests: For check-in, we will give you a code to the lockbox to get the keys, and you can arrive anytime after 3pm and check yourself in. Please put the keys back before checking-out at 11am. Lost keys will be subject to a $100 emergency fee. We will be happy to tailor to all of your needs during your stay to make your trip to the desert an unforgettable one. While we will not be at the house during your stay, feel free to contact us with any questions! We also have lots of local recommendations to share. We provide our guests with a house handbook filled with our favorite local recommendations. Our home is located off of a dirt road, approximately 100 ft from the paved road. Other things to note: There is a swamp cooler and central AC in the house. Our home is intended to be a peaceful retreat. Parties and loud noises are not tolerated. Please be respectful and enjoy the peace and quiet the desert has to offer. We provide olive oil, salt, and pepper to assist your culinary adventures, however, please plan ahead for any other spices or accouterments your dish may need! The local farmers market on Saturday mornings from 8am-12pm is a great place to find fresh produce and local offerings (directions in the guest handbook). IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU RESPECT THE SERENITY HERE. We do not permit loud music, excessive lights, noise, traffic, or unattended fires. Note: There are enforced noise, light, and fire ordinances in the High Desert. For the adventurous amongst us, the surroundings offer a huge variety of outdoor activities. There are several springs in the area, which provide habitat for the endangered Least Bell Vireo and Southwestern Willow Flycatcher, along with a host of other resident and migratory birds. These lands were proposed as an Area of Critical Environmental Concern, and are now part of the Sand to Snow National Monument. ( Hwy 247) 5 miles Giant Rock- Legendary spot just 5 Miles down the road a must to check out Joshua Tree the town features an excellent natural food store, delightful coffee shop as well as the beatnik lounge a funky little gallery Thirft stores are a core of desert towns, whether you are in Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley or apple valley.
