Our 3-bedroom hillside cabin in Tahoe Donner provides family and friends a relaxing home base for enjoying the first-rate amenities of this resort community in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Enjoy easy access to Donner Lake and nearby Lake Tahoe! Come enjoy a getaway at our family's cozy hillside cabin. Located on a quiet street within walking distance of Tahoe Donner's downhill ski area, our home comfortably sleeps six. Relax by the gas stove in the living room while watching the HDTV, or enjoy a book while lounging in the cozy leather recliner. Your feet will stay toasty warm on the heated slate floors as you prepare your meals in our fully-stocked kitchen. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the second floor off a single hallway. The master bedroom offers a private deck, queen-size bed, and en suite bathroom with double sinks and a shower. The second bedroom features a queen-size bed and lovely views of the wooded hillside. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds and its own private deck. A second bathroom provides a shower and bath tub for soaking after a long day of fun. A washer and dryer are available in a closeted area at the top of the stairs. Large windows and sliding doors throughout our home allow you to enjoy plenty of sunshine and the pine forest outside. NOTE: WINTER GUEST ADVISORY. Our cabin is located on a steep hillside off a private single-lane road with access from two directions. Tahoe Seasonal Solutions clears the road once a day when there are snow storms, but you must have a vehicle with 4WD and chains as backup for access. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles, one inside the garage and one in the driveway. The clearance for the garage door is 6 feet, 6 inches. There is no access to the house from inside the garage. Access is via an outside set of stairs. Parking is not allowed on the access road. Snow shoveling the pathway, outside stairs, and areas around your vehicle is the responsibility of the guest. Our cabin is located in the Tahoe Donner resort community. Just 15 minutes from Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Donner is a private homeowners' association with a wide variety of facilities for its members and guests. Up to 8 guests may enjoy the following amenities for a nominal fee using the 2 guest passes provided with the home: * Trout Creek Recreation Center (weight and cardio rooms, steam room, recreational pool, adult lap pool, and more) * Tahoe Donner Tennis Center * Beach Club Marina at Donner Lake * Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area * Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Area * Snowplay Area * Tahoe Donner Golf Course * Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center We live just an hour and a half from our cabin, and we're always available by cell phone, so we can easily assist you if needed. Tahoe Donner is a great recreational community that allows you to enjoy the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. Our cabin is approximately 12 miles from Sugar Bowl and Boreal and 15 miles from Northstar. You need a car to get around this area, as there is no public transit. Our cabin has a 1-car garage and an additional parking space in the driveway. The Town of Truckee collects a 13.25% Transient Occupancy tax for all rentals of less than 31 continuous nights. This tax is included in your total nightly rental amount and cleaning deposit. Town of Truckee, Registration Certificate No. 736 RESPONSIBLE PARTY: The Guest making the reservation must be an adult at least 21 years of age (valid government I.D. must be presented upon request) and will be an occupant of the property during the entire reservation period. The Guest assumes responsibility for all actions of the rental party. No entry code will be issued to anyone who is not an adult at least 21 years of age.
