This stylish freshly renovated house provides space for families, couples and friends to come together with stunning lake and mountain views across Lake Moogerah. Everything is here on your doorstep! Close to wedding venues, 6 national parks, and by the lake, so bring your boat. After spending the day discovering local eateries, wineries and farm produce, kick back and relax under the magnificent night skies round the firepit, or enjoy the bubbles in the relaxing 6 person hot tub. The space The property was the site of the original camp set up for the construction of the dam at Moogerah in the 1960's. Moogie House sits at one end of our beautiful 19 acre property. Set above the lake, you will have stunning views to enjoy. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The renovated house has beautiful old exposed wood floors locally sourced and milled. The raised house is open plan with both front and back verandahs to soak up the views. Entry to the house is by stairs. There is a 2 car space carport underneath. Plenty of driveway space for boats etc too. With a/c reverse cycle and fans throughout and in all bedrooms. A freshly renovated bathroom with dual rain head shower. Separate toilet. Full laundry facilities with washer and dryer. Take in the stunning mountain and lake views and watch the amazing sunsets from the comfortable outdoor seating on the front verandah. Stylish light and airy lounge with plenty of comfortable seating. Open plan dining area with large dining table to all sit and enjoy meals together. Leafy shaded entertainment area with bbq for outdoor dining. Pizza oven available for your use also. Fire pit to sit round and star gaze at night. Tropical covered spa room with large 6 seater hot tub to relax in. Public water access on Lake Moogerah nearby. 5 mins to Kalbar, 10 mins to Boonah for shopping. Close to walking trails and national parks. Being just over an hour from Brisbane and Gold Coast makes for the perfect getaway. Relax and breathe in the fresh country air and enjoy the serenity. Close to a number of Scenic Rim's top wedding venues makes it the ideal accommodation for guests attending local weddings too. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of Moogie House and access to the established gardens surrounding. Plenty of room to spread out and space for the kids ( and dogs!) to run around. Moogie House sits at the northern end of our beautiful 19 acres, with our house the other end, should you need anything, otherwise we will leave you to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Take in the views. You are welcome to go for a wander on the property, maybe discover the local wildlife and visit our seasonal creek and waterfall. Keep a look out for the resident koalas- often heard.. but still rather shy. Other things to note The house sits in a bush setting and is koala protected habitat. Keep an eye out for our resident koalas - they are there! Don't be surprised by visits from other local wildlife - with kangaroos and wallabies passing through. You may spot or hear our little green tree frogs too. As we harvest our electricity from the sun we would appreciate guests being energy conscious with extended use of the spa or a/c units. Please do not leave on whilst out, thanks. Our water is sourced from the dam and we use septic tanks on the property, so please be mindful of the environment. Please conserve water. So as not to overload the septic, power and water we ask that you adhere to the house rules of 6 guests maximum staying. Being dog lover's ourselves, we know the importance of getting away with our furry friends. Dogs stay for FREE at Moogie House.
