The space is an English basement apartment to our rowhome where we live with our son & dog. Our toddler's youthful energy can lead to some daytime noise. Guests usually don't notice or are away during playtime. However, it might not be for everyone, especially if you are seeking absolute silence during your visit. The apartment is clean, cool and spacious with a new and very comfortable Queen sized mattress in the bedroom and a equally comfortable Queen size pullout sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen, with a full size stove/oven and fridge, has everything you will need for a homie stay. The TV has access to your favorite streaming services like Netflix or Disney +. Just enter your login information and enjoy viewing your favorite shows (remember to log out of your accounts before leaving). The HVAC system for the home is located in the living/dining room area of the apartment and turns on frequently during cold or warm weather. This may be bothersome for anyone who is sensitive to white noise. We provide ear plugs, but anyone who is very sensitive to sounds should consider this prior to booking. The apartment is an English basement to our row home. Enjoy your own separate entrance, ensuring complete privacy and security during your stay. The apartment also has its own separate access to the backyard, which we will share with guests. Guest will not have access to the main house above the apartment. I will be available when needed, however, guest will be able to have safe and contactless self check-in to the apartment. We are dedicated to ensuring your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Apartment is located in an area that is very walkable. It is steps away from renowned Call Your Mother flagship bagel shop, popular wine bars and beer gardens, as well as great restaurants including the critically acclaimed restaurant Queen's English. Walkable to the historic Howard University and a short drive to The Catholic University of America and Trinity Washington University. The apartment is also walkable to Children's National Hospital, Medstar Washington Hospital, and Howard University Hospital. Also just a few blocks from two metro stops (yellow/green lines) and several bus stops. Two metro stations (green and yellow lines) only blocks away. Bus stops for H2, H4, 70, and 79 routes steps away. Free street parking available on Saturday and Sunday. Street parking in this area are restricted to residential permits during the weekdays and is free with no permit requirements during the weekends. Pay to park street parking options are available at adjacent streets. Parking is restricted along our street to owners of residential permits from 7AM to 8:30PM Monday through Friday . To park along our street during these times you must have a District of Columbia zone 1 residential parking permit. Free street parking along are street is available on Saturdays and Sundays. We are located adjacent to Georgia Ave which do not require residential permit street parking on weekdays, however, many of the spots are pay-to-park. That is where vehicle without the residential parking permits park during the restricted hours.
