Guests are welcome to use the brick patio with a chiminea in the back yard and the waterside deck seating area 100 feet away. No unregistered guests in private or shared spaces. The Back Bay is located in Old Seabrook, a neighborhood with parks, restaurants, and a stone's throw from the famous waterfront fish markets. The mixture of residences and small businesses lends an easy charm to the area which is great for eating, walking, birding, and biking. Old Seabrook has award-winning Thai food at Merlion Restaurant, special craft beer and food at Backyard Seabrook, sweet/savory waffles at Seabrook Waffle Company, MidNight Slice for pizza, and seafood at Tookies - All a 5 minute walk from the Back Bay View! The many parks to be enjoyed include Pine Gully Park, 5 minutes by car or 15 by bicycle through cultivated grasslands, which has a long fishing pier that extends out into Galveston Bay where visitors enjoy fishing and bird watching. Clear Lake Park, 10 minutes by car and right before NASA, boasts jet skis, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Kemah Boardwalk is a 5 minute drive over the bridge. Galveston, Downtown Houston and Hobby Airport are all within 35 minutes; Houston Intercontinental is an hour's drive. It is best to have a car. Taxis and Uber are available. Our property sleeps a maximum of 4 people. No unregistered guests and no parties. There are stairs and water nearby, so it is unsuitable for children under the age of 12. We do not allow fireworks or firearms on the premises. We do not allow animals due to a serious allergy, or scented candles, diffusers, or air fragrance emitters.
