Welcome to our cozy, modern and lovingly furnished apartment with about 50 square meters of living space. The apartment offers a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, hallway and balcony or conservatory. You will live right on the edge of the forest with a fantastic panoramic view over the city, the rock church and the castle. These sights as well as the city center are easy to explore on foot via romantic paths. We hope you enjoy your stay. The space The spacious apartment has a kitchen with dining area, a bedroom with a box spring bed, a cozy living room with an additional sofa bed that has a lying area of 140 cm, a beautiful bathroom with shower and a small hallway. Up to four people can stay in the apartment. A tasteful and high-quality interior awaits you, which has been equipped with high-quality Musterring furniture. Pretty dishes by Villeroy & Boch conjure up a cozy atmosphere. In addition, there are books, games, DVDs and satellite HD TV. The sleeping places have high-quality mattresses with different degrees of hardness (hardness 2 and 3). Pillows are available in different variants, so there should be something for everyone. Bed linen and blankets are sufficiently available. All windows are provided with permanently installed shutters. The shutters in the bedroom and sitting room are electrically operated with switches. The bathroom has a modern vanity unit, a walk-in shower, a mirror with touch sensor and hand and bath towels. Shower lotion is available. The well-equipped kitchen offers you plenty of space, with a dining table for up to four people that can also be used as a work table, an induction stovetop and a fridge with freezer compartment. The comfortable microwave has a grill and hot air (for pizza and rolls) and replaces a voluminous oven. In addition, you will find all the little helpers here: filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, hand blender, hand mixer, etc. Other things to note Our apartment "Schlossblick" is centrally located on the sunny Obersteiner Schloßberg, a sublime residential area above the city, directly on the edge of the forest. From the balcony there is a wonderful panoramic view over Oberstein, with the world-famous rock church, the Oberstein Castle and the Bosselstein castle ruins. In addition, all these attractions are within walking distance. Parking is available in front of the house along the curb. Our vacation home is located in the region of the German Gemstone Road, an approx. 50 km long themed road that connects places and landscapes that are characterized by gemstone processing and extraction. On the street, many small businesses invite you to visit and sell. There are also small museums and museum tunnels in which agate was mined. The region of the German Gemstone Road is mainly specialized in hiking tourism. The Saar-Hunsrück-Steig runs through large parts. In Idar-Oberstein there is an approx. 10 km long hiking trail, the Nahe-Felsen-Weg, which is marked as a dream loop. You can start this directly from the apartment on foot. You can also start the dream loop "Rund um die Kama" on foot. In Hintertiefenbach, about 6 km from Idar-Oberstein, the about 20 km long copper jasper path begins. Around the municipality of Herrstein, which can be reached in about 20 minutes by car, runs the approx. 9 km long medieval path, which was awarded Germany's most beautiful hiking trail in 2010 The Hahnenbachtal dream loop takes you into the valley of the millennia. On partly narrow paths and meadow paths, the very varied tour, often accompanied by the Hahnenbach, leads through forests, meadows and open, spacious areas. In between are cultural highlights: a fossil museum, the Herrenberg Visitor Mine, the reconstructed Celtic settlement of Altburg, the Hellkirch ruins and the sprawling Schmidtburg castle complex. In 2012, the Dream Loop was voted "Germany's most beautiful hiking trail" by the readers of WANDERMAGAZIN. It is also one of Germany's top 10 highest-rated premium circular hiking trails. The drive by car to the entrance takes about 30 minutes Along the Steinbachtalsperre, about 10 km from the property, the Köhlerpfad crosses the municipalities of Sensweiler and Langweiler.
