My fish camp is a perfect place to enjoy nature and experience life on the bayou! Unwind and relax or get out and explore nearby Fowl River, Mississippi Sound and Dauphin Island. Don't miss beautiful Bellingrath Gardens, just five minutes away. Note: We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our Airbnb guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in. A waterfront fish camp is a Deep South tradition. Come and experience this way of life! We have a no pet policy. This cozy private cabin has a full kitchen and bath, a king size bed, a flat screen TV and DVD player. Enjoy your morning coffee while rocking on the front porch. Plan your next adventure while swinging in the shade under the raised camp house. Do some bird watching, fishing or kayaking right on the property. Use the private boat ramp to launch a small boat, jet ski or kayak to explore the bayou, local marshlands and Fowl River. Nearby attractions: Dauphin Island, Alabama The Estuarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island The Dauphin Island Ferry for crossing Mobile Bay The beaches and bird sanctuary of Dauphin Island Deep Sea Fishing from Dauphin Island Fowl River and Bellingrath Gardens Bayou la Batre (of Forrest "Bubba" Gump fame) Other Places to Visit: Downtown Mobile, Alabama (3/4 hour) Biloxi, Mississippi Casinos (1 hour) New Orleans, Louisiana (2.5 hours) As our guest you will have access to the boat launch for your small craft, giving you access to local water way. Access to 2 kayaks w/ paddles and life jackets. You will have access to your host via cell phone and text 7 days a week 8am - 8pm. The street is a dead end and the house is at the end so the traffic is very light. This is a fish camp on a bayou with other fish camps, trailers and R/Vs along the bayou. The atmosphere is similar to a campground. No public transportation. You will need a vehicle to get around in this very rural part of Mobile County, Alabama. A 10 minute drive to Dauphin Island. You won't want to miss that trip! All aspects of Mother Nature can be expected in this location. Bring your sunscreen and bug spray along with your free spirit and love of the natural world.
