The space Built in the early 1980’s and inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s prairie style, Pacha Place is an experiment in transforming both design and the purpose of home. The house was built to be passive solar, combining mid century modern architecture, an American Southwest aesthetic, a cabin in the woods vibe and present day ecosystem design practices, to work with nature. High quality furnishings sourced from across the globe fuse colorful Indian, Peruvian and Indonesian styles to create the feeling of a mid century modern villa, escaping into another world far away from the cookie cutter suburban landscape of Kansas City. Guest access Whether playing on the baby grand piano, writing in the dedicated office, taking a meditative walk among the trees or warming up by the stone fire pit, each space was consciously designed as a way to connect to nature and yourself. Guests will have full access to the home and the four wooded acres that surround it. Other things to note The purpose of Pacha Place was inspired by the Andean cosmovision, Pacha meaning world or existence. Three separate pachas represented the upper world, the world as we know it and the inner world. Spiritual artifacts, elements and symbols collected from across the world were added with love to bring more intentional energies into the space. The house is further insulated and grounded in nature, tucked away in a four acre forest that fully surrounds the house with wilderness and wildlife. Pacha Place is owned and operated by Fresh Eggs.
