Compact, restored 1940s holiday flat near The Three Sisters, Echo Point and Jamison Valley walks. The space A sunny one bedroom holiday flat at ground level, just five minute walking distance to the famous Three Sisters and Echo Point. This is a perfect location for hiking. The floor area is 40 sq meters, larger than most studios and smaller than the average one bedroom urban apartment. It opens to shared garden spaces. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and built in wardrobe. The narrow bathroom has the original cast iron bath and basin. There is a hallway and a living room with dining/desk space, lounge, TV/sound and a small kitchen. Please note there is no oven or dishwasher. There is however, an induction cooktop, microwave, electric fry pan, rice cooker, blender, toaster and jug. So you can definitely cook a meal if you don’t want to go out to one of Katoomba’s many restaurants and cafes. The flat is sunny, insulated and heated well with a gas fire, electric column heater and electric blankets. These apartments were built as holiday flats in 1950. Rather than renovate we have restored, keeping as many of the original features as possible. It is furnished with collected mid century items such as a 1950s day bed and 1960s Danish sideboard. We have attempted to create an interesting cosy space that brings the original intent of the building back to life. Guest access Guests have access to a shared laundry with washing machines and a dryer. There is clothes line, garden and carport.
