Miniature donkey farm stay

If you dream of being surrounded by donkeys this is the perfect farm stay for you! Set on 125 acres of stunning countryside you will have the opportunity to get to know the friendly donkeys at JOY miniature donkey stud. Find great coffee, fabulous food and entertainment only 10 minutes away in historic Gundaroo and Gunning. The space The Donkey Den has a large open plan living area and kitchen with two bedrooms and a bathroom off the main area. All rooms have external access. There is a large covered deck and outdoor table and chairs for indoor/outdoor options. We also offer an outdoor play area for children with trampoline, swings and slide. The main residence is next door to the Donkey Den with both sharing a verandah. Guest access The Donkey Den and surrounding deck is your space. You can access these from the driveway where there is parking for max 3 cars. Your pets are welcome but must be kept out of the donkey paddocks. This means they need to be supervised at all times and unless they are safe with livestock and you are watching them they must be kept on a leash. We also ask that dogs are not left alone in the donkey den should you leave the property. Thankfully local cafes in Gundaroo and Gunning and the Colonial Inn in Gundaroo are dog friendly. Other things to note Unfortunately we have very poor mobile phone reception and most people struggle to access the wifi. However, most people are able to receive and send SMS. It is the perfect location to get away from it all but not the right place if you need to stay connected. Being in the bush we also have a lot of wildlife around and sometimes you will hear them on the roof thankfully not inside! We have two very friendly kelpies who will struggle to leave you alone - so it’s ideal for dog lovers.
