The Backyard Bungalow! Big Living; Small House
The Backyard Bungalow! Big Living; Small House
Description
The Backyard Bungalow - featured on Portland's ADU tour - is the perfect hideaway amidst uncertain times. With its own secluded pathway, and detached from the main house, it offers as much privacy as desired. Once inside however, its 16ft vaulted ceiling and sunlit open-plan living area surprises with a sense of spaciousness and comfort. Its inner SE location is walking distance to Division St. restaurants and cafes, food carts, parks and playgrounds, as well as being a "biker's paradise". The space The Backyard Bungalow fits snugly behind the main house, yet once inside, feels amazingly spacious with its 16 ft vaulted-ceilings. As you enter, from its private pathway, you walk into an sunlit open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, with skylights, a comfy sofa, TV and reading area, dining table (for 4-6 pp), large wooden kitchen island with bar stools, stainless steel appliances (inc. dishwasher), gas range, fully equipped kitchen, and french doors onto private garden patio. Patio and garden area offer a small but pet-friendly enclosed space (FYI planters are only 2 ft high so not likely to stop a large dog jumping them!). Tucked away in the back is a 12' x 13' sky-lit bedroom, with a queen bed, walk-in closet and private entry to a little garden space. The bathroom offers modern elegant convenience, with glass and tiled shower (no tub) and washer/dryer. Good quality sofa bed (with foam topper) and twin air mattress are available, as well as a pack'n'play (crib) for kiddos (email to request). Sheets, blankets, towels etc all on-site. Basic kitchen supplies will be left in the kitchen, along with coffee machine and French press. AC Plenty of street parking available right outside. Bungalow is single level, with 4 steps up to path, but can be accessed without stairs (via driveway and patio entrance - pls contact to confirm). Given the location (Bike Score = 94), off Clinton Bike Boulevard and 15 minutes to Downtown.
