Thoughtfully designed for rest or work, with pedestrian friendly location, it suits solo travelers, couples, or small families The space 📚 About The Library of Ivy & Ellie Welcome to The Library of Ivy & Ellie, a lovingly restored 1949 cottage in Greensboro’s Idlewood/Midtown neighborhood, part home, part storybook, part doll house. Every shelf and corner is filled with vintage finds, upcycled treasures, and pieces of the creative lives of Joy’s daughters, Ivy and Ellie. Both girls grew up devouring Harry Potter and the great young adult novels of the 1990s and 2000s, surrounded by yarn, watercolor brushes, and dogs with opinions. Ellie is a watercolor and pottery artist, jewelry maker, knitter, and fiber artist. Her pup Tato often supervises her studio time. Ivy is a website designer, certified herbalist, knitter, and sewist, with two small dogs, Vash and Millie, who inspire her sense of balance and belonging. Together, they’ve helped create a home that feels alive with memory, creativity, and meaning, proof that beauty grows from what’s real, not from what’s perfect. The home sits less than a mile from Cone Hospital, Downtown Greensboro, and a short drive to UNCG, the Tanger Center, and the Greenway Urban Trail. Because of our central location, guests will hear the sounds of the city: ambulances, music, Grimsley High School Marching Band, downtown baseball fireworks, and life in constant motion. 🏡 The Space Bedrooms and Comfort: Two cozy bedrooms feature queen-size memory foam mattresses, high-thread-count 100 percent cotton linens, and handmade touches that reflect these sisters’ creative worlds. Each room displays fiber art, original pieces, and mementos from Ivy and Ellie’s lives. Living and Dining: A comfortable sitting room with Smart TV and a dining area that welcomes both meals and musings. A rolling library cart holds books, games, and handwork for quiet evenings or rainy days. Kitchen and Laundry: A fully equipped kitchen designed for real people who eat real food, plus in-home laundry for longer stays. Dryer is ventless; please reference the use card on the dryer. Parking: Off-street parking behind the home for up to three cars makes it easy to come and go while exploring Greensboro’s markets, parks, and creative scene. 🐾 Pet Policy We love animals and welcome them thoughtfully. Please read carefully before booking: • Two-pet maximum. This home is cozy, and more than two pets quickly overwhelm the space and can leave behind odors that are difficult to remove between guests. • List all pets in your booking request so we can prepare the home accordingly. • No pets on furniture or bedding. If your pet is a cuddler, please bring your own covers or ask us and we will leave some old sheets for your fur baby. • Guests traveling with cats must share their litter setup and containment plan before booking and confirm measures are in place to prevent clawing or spraying. • Pick up all outdoor waste and report any accidents or damage right away. • Unregistered pets, excessive shedding, or damage beyond normal cleaning will result in an additional charge through Airbnb’s Resolution Center. We clean exclusively with professionals from Simply Organized and Clean, who use eco-friendly, low-fragrance, non-toxic products that are safe for pets, people, and the planet. 🛏 Linen Care and Damage Fees Our linens are high-thread-count 100% cotton, washed with gentle unscented detergent to keep them soft and allergen free. If linens or towels are permanently stained or damaged, the following fees apply: • 25 dollars per bath towel • 100 dollars per sheet set • Quilt or duvet cover TBD Guests are notified of any charges before they are submitted through Airbnb’s Resolution Center. 🚽 Flushing Policy Only toilet paper and natural waste should be flushed. Please do not flush wipes, even those labeled “flushable,” or feminine products. Plumbing repairs caused by misuse are billed between $100 and $500. 🧹 Mid-Stay Cleaning Optional mid-stay cleanings are available for an additional fee, with 24 hours’ notice, ideal for longer visits or guests traveling with pets. ☕ Local Coffee, Dining and Markets You’re surrounded by Greensboro’s favorite independent spots: • Delicious Bakery and Café for coffee and pastries nearby • Union Coffee, Northern Roots, and Awoo Coffee for creative energy • Deep Roots Market Co-op for locally sourced groceries and meals Downtown’s breweries, live music, and art spaces are just a short drive away. 💛 The Story This home isn’t decorated; it’s curated. Every handwoven throw, vintage lamp, and repurposed shelf carries a story. The Library of Ivy and Ellie is an evolving archive of creativity and care, built by a family that values connection over convenience and artistry over algorithms. Joy and Eric, who steward this home, founded Joy Watson Real Estate in 2022 as a local, non-corporate small business focused on community and sustainability. Their work supports Guilford County high school students with learning differences through the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) program, providing students with meaningful life and work experience through real projects in real homes. 🌿 Your Stay Whether you’re in Greensboro for work, wellness, or inspiration, The Library of Ivy and Ellie offers a space that invites creativity, rest, and reflection. Every shelf tells a story. Now yours becomes part of the collection. Welcome to The Library of Ivy and Ellie. Warmly, Joy and Eric 🌻 Joy Watson Real Estate | Local • Non-Corporate Guest access Access is simple and convenient. Pull down the concrete driveway beside our indigo-blue 1949 cottage and continue to the large parking pad behind the home (fits two cars comfortably, three maximum). From there, follow the Ellie-painted back steps up to the rear door, which opens directly into the kitchen for easy unloading and entry. Other things to note Pet Policy We love well-behaved pets — they make travel feel more like home! We charge a one-time $75 pet fee per stay for up to two pets. Two pet Maximum. If you are traveling with a cat, please share your method for containing cat litter and prohibiting clawing and spraying BEFORE YOU BOOK a stay with a kiddy. Our cleaners use eco-friendly, pet-safe products and add extra vacuuming, sanitizing, and lint-rolling after every pet visit. Please bring your pet’s favorite blanket or bed to help minimize shedding and keep furniture fresh for future guests. If your pet sheds heavily or you’re staying more than three nights, please message us so we can plan additional time for our cleaning team. The location of this home is super urban. This is an old house. While we do have homes professionally cleaned by Simply Organized and Clean, a small, local cleaning company, between guests, we can not guarantee a gluten-free, pet hair-free, 100% sterile environment. We love creating our spaces to mimic staying at the home of a beloved friend or relative and ask that guests please treat these spaces respectfully.
