Set in the beautiful Charente Maritime countryside Le Manoir du Mûrier is a former 16th century hunting lodge once owned by the Marquis des Adjots. Kick back, relax & unwind in this peaceful oasis, nestled in 15 acres with its own lake, in the heart of wine region. Mûrier Cottage is tastefully decorated & furnished, has 3 bedrooms to accommodate 6 guests comfortably, has its own private entrance through the walled courtyard. In the grounds is a large salt water swimming pool & terrace. The space Mûrier Cottage is attached to the main house, it is totally separate & private. on the ground floor is the lounge area with 2 large sofas, log burner & TV, the dining area and kitchen are fully equipped for 6 guests. the large windows let plenty of light in, the floors are all tiled. upstairs are 1 large twin bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, one with its own balcony and two bathrooms, one with a large walk in shower & one with a shower over the bath, all rooms have plenty of storage & are beautifully presented. Set in 15 acres among the vineyards of Southwest France, Murier Cottage is a beautifully decorated three-bedroom gîte perfect for families and friends. Enjoy a large enclosed swimming pool and a fully enclosed courtyard safe for children, with dining beneath the mulberry trees. The property also features its own private lake with a picnic table overlooking the water — ideal for peaceful countryside moments. Relax, unwind and enjoy rural France at its best. Guest access There is plenty of parking on the driveway, to access the cottage it is a short walk through the sunny walled courtyard, you have your own private entrance. You can walk around the around the gardens, around to the pool & walk upto the lake Other things to note There is a smaller one bed gite called Petit Mûrier, when this is let you will have share all the outside space & pool area. Both Petit Mûrier & Mûrier Cottage can be rented together to allow 4 bedrooms with 8 guests in total.
