Ideal for couples or a small group of friends, Jordanstone's Gardener's Cottage is a snug, rustic retreat with plenty of home comforts. And if you have a furry friend, they’re welcome too, as the Gardener's Cottage is dog friendly. The space This cottage is a lovely two bedroom retreat, with a wood burning stove, cosy living room and separate kitchen dining area. The main bedroom has a king size bed along with a sink and bath - with a view! The second bedroom has a king size bed which can be split into twin beds on request. The living room has a wood burning stove, tv and assortment of board games - ideal for home comforts or a more unplugged weekend away. The spacious kitchen dining area features a stunning table hewn from a tree felled on the estate, plus a large fridge-freezer, good quality oven and stove, washing machine and dishwasher. The private walled garden offers a tranquil spot to relax, and the hot tub, chiminea and BBQ provide the perfect setting for outdoor dining and starlit soaks. Please note: Whilst every effort is made to fully clean between stays, as a pet-friendly property, the Garden Cottage may not be suitable for those with severe pet allergies. This is a period property, with the original building dating back approximately 500 years (though it's had a few updates since then!). We have chosen to retain certain historic features, such as wooden floors and stone walls, as we think these add to the character of the cottage. Whilst it may seem obvious, Airbnb advises us that we should mention in our listing that there may be signs of the cottage's age. Please don't bring a spirit level. We work hard to keep everything looking nice and carry out regular maintenance, but Airbnb also asks hosts to mention that there may be minor elements of wear and tear that aren't evident in the listing photos. This is also a rural location, perfect for a beautiful, peaceful getaway. Please note that this also means that there is some rough track to get to the cottage, occasional work on adjacent farms that we can't control, and wifi that's perfect for browsing, but can experience lag for video calls.
