Wine Country Living at La Villetta - Amador County

La Villetta is a perfect retreat for a couple’s getaway or peaceful solo escape. Our one-bedroom, 600-sq-ft cottage sits on five acres of oak and olive trees, with gorgeous canyon and hillside views that invite calm and connection. Though off the beaten path, La Villetta is just 20 minutes from 50+ award-winning wineries. We’re happy to share our favorite local spots — restaurants, scenic drives, hot air balloon rides, live music, and theatre. Life is sweet at La Villetta! The space The living room opens onto a private patio and courtyard surrounded by a Mediterranean garden of lavender, rosemary, sage, and roses. This tranquil space was created to help you unwind and reconnect — enjoy a good book, practice yoga, schedule an on-site massage, play a board game, or simply sit by the courtyard fountain and watch the sunset. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities for preparing meals, and gourmet coffee and tea are provided. For your first morning, a welcome breakfast basket will be waiting for you on the patio table. Outdoor dining is encouraged — feel free to bring your own picnic, or let us arrange one for you. Ask about our romantic dinners by the fireplace, available during the spring and fall months. Guest access The downstairs is reserved for your use and enjoyment during your stay at La Villetta. The upstairs is for private use only but remains unoccupied while guests are here. Amador County’s beauty lies in its vineyards, pastures, rolling hills, and mountain views. Many of our favorite destinations — including La Villetta — are reached by scenic country roads that can be curvy in some areas, adding to the charm of the journey. We live in the main house on the property and are happy to share local recommendations, from cork to fork experiences to excursions and shopping in the historic Gold Rush towns of Amador City, Sutter Creek, and Volcano. Tennis and pickleball courts are available within a 10-minute drive.
