Experience DC living in the heart of vibrant Bloomingdale! Located on the garden level of our c.1890 rowhouse, on a quiet street, our well-appointed 1 bed flat easily fits two. Enjoy a crafty kitchen or dine-out at the myriad cafes just steps away! The space A beautiful 1 BR apartment in the historic and centrally located neighborhood of Bloomingdale, DC. The apartment is clean, well-decorated and always filled with flowers and herbs! The entire space is approximately 950 square feet with a spacious main room and dining area, a separate bedroom with a real queen sized bed, and a full kitchen. It's perfect for a couple or solo traveler (we can also set up the deluxe air mattress if you have little ones that don't mind an air-filled bed!) The apartment is on the Garden Level floor of a 3 story, 1890s Victorian row house, located on the alley entrance of a lovely Sycamore-lined Bloomingdale block. The kitchen is granny-smith-apple green and has all the basic amenities. The furnishings have a bohemian-meets-mid-century look and include sofa (can also accommodate an additional guest for sleeping) and a kitchen table. Many of the furnishings, artwork and other items in the apartment are either vintage finds from the many quirky vintage shops in DC or come from our nomadic travels to off-the-beaten-path places. The garden apartment faces south getting great morning sunlight and will provide you a cozy stay in a great location. Guest access Full use of the apartment and all its amenities, including washing machine and dryer. Wireless Internet. Clean sheets and towels are provided. Free parking if needed. Private, keyless, alley-way entrance. Other things to note The Garden Apartment does not have its own thermostat to adjust the heat. However, if you are too cold or too warm please let us know and we'll adjust it to your liking. Air conditioning is provided in summer. The kitchen comes stocked with the basics such as spices, cooking oils, and baking flours. There's a great little corner market called Windows that's only a 4 minute walk from the flat which offers other dry goods, local beer and wine, and some fresh veggies.
