Description
A real treehouse, built with wonder and wild imagination—just like the one you dreamed of as a kid. Swing, climb, soak, paddle, and play among the trees. There’s a cowboy tub under the stars, trails to wander, frogs to sing you to sleep, and a cargo net for lounging above it all. It’s peaceful, private, and full of charm. One night is fun—but you’ll wish you had more. Robin’s Nest isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a place to feel alive again. The space Welcome to the Circle R Holler—home to one real treehouse, and one unforgettable escape. Not a row of rentals. Not a glamp-ground. Just one dreamy perch above the forest floor, nestled in 7 oaks, with the whole holler to yourself. It’s not a house on stilts next to trees—it’s in the trees. Built like a child would build: with no tape measure, no level, and 150-year-old treasures tucked into every corner. Wander barefoot. Paddle at dusk. Soak under the stars. Chase fireflies, not Wi-Fi. No neighbors, no noise—just the soft hush of trees and the chorus of frogs by the pond. The Ponds are empty at the moment from severe drought. But we're prating for rain. we'll give you a map pin drop of our favorite fun and quiet spot on the San Marcos River just 10 minutes away. This isn’t just a stay—it’s a return to wonder. A place where stories feel real again. Where you cook slow, laugh easy, and sleep like you used to—safe, full of dreams, with the windows open to the night sounds. The trails are yours. The water is yours. The firewood is free. And the stillness? It’s rare. The pond rises and falls with the seasons, so bring something to float on—or take our kayaks ten minutes down to a hidden bend in the San Marcos River we’ll happily share. Come be the only guest in a holler made for imagination. Reconnect with yourself, your person, your peace. One night is fun. But your happy place deserves more than that. Guest access Easy parking and stroll across the foot bridge to the front ladder. Everything is there except food and drink. There is no lockbox and we will leave the door open for you. Other things to note While the treehouse is on a working wildlife sanctuary, there are still occasional wild animals near the ponds. Do please use good judgement. You stay at your own risk. The ladders, beds, swing and handrails are not too code. So please no young children that you're not willing to take full responsibility for their safety and adults should be in good health to climb the ladders. To walk the trails or around the tanks we suggest wearing sturdy shoes. 2 people can sleep comfortably in the treehouse on the full size futon. Several kids can sleep in the queen swing bed. and by request we can bring you a few hammocks. Sit in the cattle trough ( pool) to cool off. We keep any bees and wasps that hurt people under control. But you will find yellow and black mud dauber wasps. We love them because they are predators of spiders but harmless to people. Adults are about 1-inch in length with true wasp waists!
