Queen Bedroom in H ST / Capitol Hill Rowhome
Queen Bedroom in H ST / Capitol Hill Rowhome
Description
You'll be staying in one of my sweet bedrooms in my 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house. I live in the 3rd room and some other Airbnbers are in my 2nd room. Fun! You've got full access to the house with all the fixings. The house is on Capitol Hill and blocks from the vibrant H Street corridor full of bars and restaurants. Your room, and the house in general have a distinctively patriotic decor, because, c’mon, it’s DC. The space ▓▓▓▓ Your Private Bedroom ▓▓▓▓ Your bedroom is your domain, and it comes with a lock and a key. ►►The Bed◀◀ Inside you’ll find a queen size memory foam bed, super soft and cool microfiber sheets, a comforter and duvet if you’re a warm weather soul, the normal boring sleeping pillows, and most importantly, a boatload of patriotic throw pillows. Oh, and there might be a delicious mint on your pillow too...because mint is a plant so it *must* be a vegetable. You’ve got side tables on either side of the bed with task lamps if you’re a non kindle-reading-in-bed kind of person and power strips for all your devices. There’s a North facing window that looks over the oh so exciting side of my house, backyard, alley, and neighbors yards. Ok, maybe it’s not so inspiring, but it gives you daylight if you open the blinds. That’s something right? ▖▖▖The Desk ▖▖▖ You get a glass top desk, office chair, task lamp, a power strip of plugs for your gizmos, and a mirror on the wall to gaze longingly into your own eyes whenever you feel like it. ▖▖▖The Closet ▖▖▖ You won’t find a passage to Narnia (or if you do please let me know) but you will find some fuzzy warm blankets if you need extras, hangers for doing that whole clothes hanging thing, a couple of robes, a hamper for towels, and both a fan and space heater in case you’re either one of those white noise kinda folks, or you just like cool/hot air. I don’t discriminate. Next to the closet you’ll find an small storage ottoman (that you can sit on!). It has an extra blanket inside, and a basket on top holds four sets of towels and washcloths. Need more towels? No problem! They’re in a closet in the upstairs hall. Guest access You'll be staying in one of my sweet bedrooms in my 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house that has two queen beds. I live in the 3rd room and some other Airbnbers are probably in my 2nd room. Fun! The house is on Capitol Hill and blocks from the vibrant H Street corridor full of bars and restaurants. Your room, and the house have a distinctively patriotic decor, because it's DC. During your stay I think I’m what the interwebs has decided to call an extroverted introvert. So I can totally hang out in my room, stay out of your way, and keep it simple in terms of interaction. On the flipside, I can also chat it up and interact as much as possible. It’s totally up to you. Sometimes I like my anonymity when staying places, other times I don’t mind socializing, I totally get it. Other things to note #1 The front steps to my front door are steeper than normal steps. They look normal, but your legs will feel it. Mentally prepare for that calf workout! #LegDay #2 It’s a 3 bedroom home, I live in one bedroom, you’ll live in 1 bedroom, and some other awesome Airbnbers will live in the 3rd. #3 Washington DC has a trap, neuter, and release (TNR) program for feral alley cats in town, which is awesome. That means strays get caught, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and returned to where they were picked up. It helps to control the feral population and is also humane. While no pets live inside the home a few of the alley cats have adopted my backyard so I watch after them, especially since they handle all the critters of city life. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship. They are super sweet and nothing like I had imagined from my TV version of alley cats. I hope that doesn’t make me sound like the young, sane, male version of the old crazy cat lady. #SquadGoals A portion of each Airbnb rental goes to two programs, the CATNIPP program from the Humane Rescue Alliance in DC, and the Alley Cat Allies. Both do phenomenal work so your stay helps to do some good! Registration Details Hosted License: 5007242201000610
