Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto the highest vantage point in Hout Bay, with sweeping views down the valley toward Constantia Nek. Private entrance and alarm system ensure peace of mind. Your room is a quiet, restful haven at the heart of our mountainside property. ☕ The Bistro Nook & Workspace A quaint bistro nook with concertina windows offers panoramic views across the valley. This space is designed for light meal preparation — single induction plate, air fryer, kettle, toaster, bar fridge, and Nespresso machine. The counter with stools facing the windows doubles as a comfortable workspace, perfect for remote work, writing, or planning your day while soaking in the views. The cozy lounge corner with armchairs, a rug, side table, and lamp is a perfect spot for reading, journaling, or simply unwinding. Since it’s a dry space (no sink), we take care of the dishes for you — just leave items in the container provided. Guests are also welcome to use the outdoor barbecue (braai) for a traditional South African experience. A few little treats await your arrival too. 🌺 Pool, Hot Tub & Garden The indigenous garden is thoughtfully designed around the natural environment, with paths meandering past the fishpond, pool, and outdoor hot tub. Relax in the hammock among the trees, take a dip in the pool, or sink into the hot tub under the African sky. Listen to the frogs at night, watch fireflies light up the garden, and enjoy visits from our gentle Ragdoll cats, birds and resident squirrels. The garden also includes a vegetable patch, composting section, and rainwater harvesting tanks, reflecting our commitment to sustainability. 🌄 Explore the Area Hike Little Lion’s Head for breathtaking views or explore Myburgh's Waterfall Ravine Trail. Stay active with yoga, gyms, acrobranch, kayaking, or boat trips. Food and drink lovers can visit local breweries, the gin distillery, and Bay Harbour Market, while art enthusiasts will enjoy nearby galleries. For a fun, creative outing, try the Clay Café, where you can paint pottery while enjoying a bite to eat. Nature lovers will delight in the World of Birds. There’s truly something for everyone! Guest access Guests have access to the pool, hot tub and garden at leisure. Decks provide spectacular sunrise and sunset views. Safe off-street parking is provided. Other things to note ACCESS: Ground-level room reached via a series of steps (may not suit guests with mobility challenges). SECURITY: Secure private estate with electric fencing, linked alarm system, armed response, and automated booms 6PM–6AM. NOISE: Some daytime traffic or distant music may be heard. LAUNDRY: Washing machine available for R100/load. SMOKING/FOOD: Smoking only outside; eating/drinking not permitted in the bedroom. PETS: Two gentle Ragdoll cats. Wi-Fi: Free, uncapped fibre.
