If you love the beach, the location is great, you are less than 5 minutes away on foot via the local footpaths. For surf fans, this is a great location to make sure you don't miss any of those precious waves. A rear garden allows for safe board and bike storage, and outdoor seating means you can grab your breakfast whilst drying off after and early morning surf. If you like to get out and about, hit the south west coastal path and explore the area on foot. Make your way to Baggy point and take in some of the spectacular views before setting off for a trek to the nearby beaches of Putsborough or Woolacombe. Want to explore a bit further afield? Hire a bike and hit the Tarka Trail, miles of glorious North Devon countryside to explore. Take an evening stroll into the village, and experience the lively but gentle atmosphere of this popular North Devon village. Head back to Santolina for a casual supper or grab an outside table in one of bars or restaurants and while away a couple of hours whilst sampling some of the culinary delights on offer. Perhaps finish your evening off, watching a glorious sunset from the dunes, before wending your way back to Santolina for a refreshing nights sleep. Guests have sole access to the entire property during their stay I live in the village so am available if needed. I try to meet all of our guests once they have checked in and had a chance to settle in to welcome you to the property and area. After that I am available by phone or message during your stay. Everyone who visits Croyde falls in love with the place. Often referred to as the jewel in North Devon's crown, Croyde is a timeless place full of traditional thatched roofs cottages, surrounded by stunning countryside with one of the best surfing beaches in the UK. Croyde caters for all ages and tastes. Behind the thatched roofs and cob walls are traditional pubs serving local foods and ales, gift shops and tea shops serving Devonshire cream teas. Croyde is a vibrant place with a lively surfing scene, attracting surfers, young people and families from all over the world. The surfing scene has brought with it more modern businesses offering a wider variety of pubs, restaurants and bars along with surf shops offering sales, hire and lessons. There is dedicated Parking for one cars at the property If you wish to explore a little further afield then there is a local bus that services the village. The route covers the main villages and towns from Ilfracombe to Westward Ho on the other side of the estuary. This is a great way to explore some of the other beaches in the area and avoid having to find somewhere to park. There are several local taxi firms that service the area if you wish to use them. It is recommended that you book in advance if you wish to hire a taxi, as they do book up fairly quickly, especially in high season.
