A True Farmhouse Experience
How would you like to get away from it all? How would you like to just kick back, relax, and take things in like the good ‘ol days? The Farmhouse might just be the place for you. Located just outside the town of Baileys Harbor, the Farmhouse is located on Gray-Aire Farms, a working farm since 1960. Nestled in the gorgeous surroundings of Northern Door County, you’ll be able to kick your feet up and take in the fresh country air, while watching the cows graze in the pasture. The Farmhouse has three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen with all of the amenities, a dining room, and a large living room with a lovely wood stove. There is also a west facing deck that is perfect for watching the sunset or relaxing during the day as it is shaded by two beautiful, old, red maple trees. *Important : Since you will be staying on a working farm, for your safety, we ask that you mind the animals, farm equipment, crops, fencing, etc. Permission and supervision are required to enter the barn, sheds, chicken coop, and for exploring the farmlands. We will also being working in the garden on and off throughout the day. Feel free to ask us questions about the garden and what we are growing. Since farming is busy work, if you’d like to explore a bit then just let us know, and we’d be more than happy to set up a good time to show you around. The farm can be a very busy place with planting and harvesting crops as well as the daily routines of feeding the animals and working in the garden. Please feel free to ask what will be going on at the farm during your stay. Baileys Harbor is a beautiful town in the northern Door County peninsula. The Farmhouse is located close to many other local attractions including The Ridges Sanctuary, Door County Brewery, Cana Island Lighthouse, Peninsula Players Theater, Door Shakespeare, Kangaroo Lake, and tons of restaurants, beaches, marinas, and parks. Check out the Peninsula Pulse or Destination Door County for more up to date event information. Navigating Door County is fairly simple. There are two major highways; 42 and 57 that run up and down the length of the peninsula. If you need directions or recommendations just ask! What you will see on the farm: Bella, the farm’s border collie used for herding the cows, Lily, Farmer John’s mini dachshund, daily feeding of the cows and chickens, gathering of the chicken eggs, the cows grazing in the pasture or hanging out in the barn yard, picking and harvesting of fruits and vegetables from the garden, tractors and other farm equipment, kittens, calves, and so much more! Gray-Aire Farms is also proud to be raising and selling Angus Beef since 2019 as well as Farm Fresh Eggs, Cow's Milk Soap, and some of the best Sweet Corn in the county (when in season).
