Relax in a private 4 seasons retreat. Explore 3000 acres of wildlife preserve that surrounds this modern Bauhaus designed by Walter Gropius. The house is laid out so there is plenty of light and room for everyone to have their own space or be all together to have fun. Walking and cross country ski trails right from the backdoor. Close to many historic and natural attractions. Shopping Centers 5 min. away and Boston is 30 min. by car. The neighborhood is picturesque and safe. There's loads of historic places to visit nearby but if you want to stay put, endless activities here too. Activities: Ping pong, pickle ball, basket ball hoop, bocce , badminton, spikeball. Swimming pool avai after Memorial day and a bbq grill. Some winter equipment that we have are snow shoes, cross country skis and ice skates. There is plenty of safe ice skating around here You can access the whole main house except one small room we will use for storage. We have a basement apartment that we rent to a woman from CA and comes to stay a couple of weeks every few months. You will have to share laundry facilities with her, but she does not access or a view to any other part of the house or garden. She has her own private entrance. We have a separate apartment in the basement which is not accessible to guests and houses a older woman. She has a seperate entrance and her own private garden so you will not see her at all. You still have complete privacy and seclusion. You do have to share laundry facilities with her, but she travels and works a lot and is barely there. Please note for stays longer than two week there is linen and house cleaning service twice a month that needs to be paid extra. Even though you are in the suburbs it feels like the countryside. You won't see any of the neighbors from the house. The Concord River is a 5 minute walk. It's located on a quiet country style road with almost no traffic. Great for kids riding bikes etc. There are stables down the road if you are interested in horse back riding. Parking is plentiful. We have a bus stop 5 minutes away by car that goes to Harvard Square and other locations. If you have toddlers, we do not recommend this house . It is not at all safe for toddlers and regular safety doors on stairs is not possible to install with these banisters. No Pets allowed, but you can email me if you have a pet who can pee in the woods and does not shed huge amounts of fur. Events or Parties must be approved and will have additional cleaning charges.
