The Guest House is a recently renovated private house located on a 300 acre farm along the historic Old Frankfort Pike road in Lexington, Ky. The owners use this property to entertain out of town family and friends. Guest can wind down in the eclectic cozy cottage charm decor while taking in the sights of the breath taking horse farms and rolling hills of KY. The owners have supplied the house with the finest sheets, linens and down comforters that guarantee a good nights sleep. There are 3 bedrooms ( 2 queen and 2 Twins) 1 small bath. Monogramed bathrobes, cold beverages in the refrigerator, as well as coffee, tea and hot chocolate for our guest. A full kitchen for foodies that enjoy cooking. At an extra charge we can arrange a turn down services and daily light housekeeping Overview of the area around The Guest House. Old Frankfort Pike, "One of the Ten Best Scenic Drives in the United States". It is a 16.9 mile scenic byway connecting Lexington and Frankfort. Along the way you will pass many of the Thoroughbred Farms for which Kentucky, and the Bluegrass area in particular, are famous, giving Old Frankfort Pike the nickname of Thoroughbred Alley. Along Old Frankfort Pike are beautiful Locust, Osage Orange, Dogwood, Red bud, Red and White oak, and Sugar Maple trees- often forming a breathtaking canopy above your head as you drive through! You will see Kentucky's famous old limestone rock fences and properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including a cemetery which is home to revolutionary War soldiers. Some Popular attractions near The Guest House is the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, Keeneland race track, Kentucky Horse Park and prestigious Horse farms such as Darby Dan, Windhaven, Summer Wind, Middlebrook, Airdrie, Winstar, Bluewater, Lanes End, Three Chimneys, Donamire and many others. These farms are homes to our horse athletes the Kentucky Derby winners. At the end of the day grab a blanket, your favorite beverage and head out back and reminisce the day sitting around the fire pit.
