Spacious 825 sq. ft., very private, peaceful and lovely, this one-bedroom apartment (with a sleeping nook) is on the lower level of a 2013 built, three-story, local notable artist’s home. Amongst other amenities, it has filtered water, a mini-fridge, small microwave, and Keurig coffee maker with capsules (hi-octane and decaf). There is not a stove/oven or hotplate. Our guests have spent literally hundreds of hours on the deck with their coffee enjoying looking out over the woods and the serene environment. For your year-round comfort, we have a mini-split (A/C & Heater) in the living room, cozy radiant heat in the bedroom and ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. We have smoke and CO detectors. And most important the City of Asheville licenses us. Situated in a beautiful, quiet, historic and highly desired Asheville neighborhood – Kenilworth - there is lots of natural light through windows that face the woods. Enter through your own private entrance and enjoy your deck overlooking the lush woods for three seasons, or a mountain view when the leaves are down. It is very private giving you all the space you need. Many guests have enjoyed doing everything from Yoga to Zoom meetings on the deck. Tall, mature trees grace your entrance and apartment, giving the visual perspective of being in a tree house. You hear the sounds of Asheville in the woods, everything from the occasional train toot, to the plentiful birds, to the foxes in the neighborhood. While this special hide-away is up in the hills, it is centrally located & 10 minutes to just about all of Asheville's major destinations, including Downtown, Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Village, and River Arts District. Sleeps up to 2-5 guests with a master bedroom, sleeping nook, huge couch and even room for air mattresses for the kids on the living room. A one-of-a kind custom made wooden pallet bed frame holds the extremely comfortable and highly rated by our guests’ king sized bed, with luxurious linens. Lynn is an Asheville artist, who has shown nationally and can guide you to some of the most interesting art related places in town (in addition to her own River Arts District studio). Guest access Your own private entrance and fantastic deck, with two Adirondack chairs overlooking the woods. The deck also has a dining table and two comfy chairs. Your space includes free and fast Wi-Fi and a 46” flat screen TV. There is a connector that allows you to mirror all streaming station (e.g., Netflix, Amazon) from your phone. Your private bathroom has large fluffy towels, and quality soaps/shampoo/conditioner for showering. The apartment has heat and A/C with your having control of the settings. As you will see from numerous reviews, it has one of the world's great beds! There is also a small sleeping nook with a double mattress. We also have an iron and board to smooth out your wrinkled clothes. We will provide all linens, coffee, and a welcome dish of energy bars and chocolates with your reservation. As we are literally built into a hillside and the unit is the bottom floor, there are outside steps. For 99% of our guests it is not an issue, but we do want you to know if steps are a consideration for you.
