Canalside cabin

Canalside cabin overlooking the Coventry canal and located in the village of Hopwas. The cabin is perfect for an affordable break or a cost effective stopover on a work trip. Set in beautiful gardens with lovely views of waterways and local woods. There’s plenty on offer for nature lovers with great walks, fishing, boating and cycling on your doorstep. Further afield is a town and city to explore. After a day outdoors there are 2 country pubs across the road from the cabin to relax. The space The property is located on the Lichfield road canal bridge (the cabin stands in the front of the garden of my home so you will be close to the road noise.) It comprises of one space with king size bed . In the same space is a kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, cutlery and crockery. There are 2 armchairs and a TV. SEPARATE TOILET AND SHOWER ROOM. There is no running water in the cabin, that has to come from the shower room. The private shower room is a 20 metre walk across the garden and up some steps. It includes a shower, toilet, sink, towels, and utility. OUTSIDE There is a small deck at the front of the cabin and a small partially fenced garden to the side with outdoor furniture for your private use. Guest access Guests can let themselves into the cabin using the key safe. Parking can be found in nearby streets there are also 2 village pubs within a 2 minute walk where you can have a meal or a drink and park. The location is 2 miles from Tamworth and 5 miles from Lichfield there is a regular bus service to both. We are situated in the heart of the country so there are good road links to many major towns and cities. Other things to note Please read all the information to ensure you understand what’s on offer. The cabin is at the front of the property close to the road, so there is ROAD NOISE and if you are a light sleeper it may not suit you. You may also hear some early bird song, ducks and passing canal boats. Your private shower room /utility is a 20 METRE WALK across the garden behind the house and is for guests private use. It has a radiator which is connected to the boiler in my house so will only be on when I have the heating on in my home and like everyone else I’m trying to keep it to a minimum!! To keep cabin prices affordable I would appreciate it if guests turn lights and heat off when they are out. I also save energy by not ironing clean sheets and towels There is only COLD WATER at the sink so you will need to get hot water from the shower or kettle to wash up or wash hands. I may occasionally need to use the washing machine located in shower room but will do this when guests are not around. You may use the laundry facilities for a CHARGE just put money in the honesty box. Guests have use of the partially fenced garden to the side and front of the cabin.
