Our comfortable chalet is located in a quiet part of nature campsite Loodsmansduin, 15 minutes by bike from the beach in a beautiful nature reserve. The picturesque village of Den Hoorn is close by. The chalet is located in a sheltered heather valley at the foot of a dune with front and back terrace. The park has a swimming pool, bouncy castle, playground, entertainment, bar, restaurant + terrace, and is a 5-minute drive from the ferry port. Can only be booked for couples and families. Arrival day in high season Saturday. The space The chalet consists of a cozy living room with dining area (table + sofa for two people + two chairs, extra folding chair in storage + high chair) and open kitchen equipped with all necessary equipment. From the bright living room, there is a sliding door to the terrace with dining table, lounge area and views over the heath. There is a master bedroom and a bedroom with bunk bed plus single bed. The bathroom has a rain shower with skylight. Here you can shower under the starry sky. On Texel, the nights are still really dark and you can see thousands of stars. In addition, there is a hall, separate toilet and a storage room with sun loungers. On the back terrace with bistro table and chairs, you can enjoy a wonderful day in the natural shade of the pines. The sun shines 30% more often on Texel than on the mainland. But because of the front and back patio, there is always a choice of a sunny or shady spot. The delicious pine scent, mixed with salty sea air, purifies the body and mind. Guest access Our chalet is accessible from the ferry by car (5 min), bicycle (15 min), on foot (55 min) or by the Texelhopper bus (reserve in advance). There is free parking near the chalet for 1 car and extra parking at the reception or outside the premises. The boat trip only takes 20 minutes, enough for a nice walk and a cup of coffee. The park is only a 5-minute drive from the ferry port on the edge of the De Geul nature reserve with the largest spoonbill colony in the Netherlands. It is wonderful to hike and bike in the surrounding National Park Duinen van Texel. Even in the high season, there is still plenty of peace and space here. Other things to note Only bookable for couples and families. Groups of young people are not in the right place here due to the quiet and family character of the park. During the holiday period, I rent per week from Saturday. Free use of all camping facilities: From mid-May (and depending on the temperature) to August, heated outdoor swimming pool with toddler pool. Holidays: entertainment for children. Mid and high season: restaurant with sports bar, snack bar and sandwich service.
